Jae Studios is conveniently located at 1607 Dexter Ave N, Seattle, WA 98109, USA. This accessibility is a major advantage for residents across the city. Dexter Avenue N is a well-known thoroughfare, offering straightforward access by car. Jae Studios Reviews
Jae Studios is a soft place to land for indulgent freestyle, movement exploration, and instructors who create a kind & inclusive space. Not only are the folks at Jae fun & supportive, they're also extremely knowledgeable about pole and accommodating different bodies and abilities. Hannah's Freestyle Sequencing on Wednesday evenings has been such a treat and I look forward to her lesson and positive energy each week! Jean's freestyle classes are also such a breath of fresh air. Her playlists, movement promps, and warmth bring an energy that make you feel like you can dance to Pink Pony Club on repeat 😉
Mar 30, 2025 · Caitie AuldI cannot recommend Jae Studios enough! Had my first beginner class with Jean last night, and I am already hooked. She made it such a fun, comfortable and exploratory environment. I booked multiple more classes the second I left and cannot wait to be back for more beginner classes/to advance into beyond beginner and be a regular. Check them out, you will not regret it!
Mar 27, 2025 · Paige BelliveauHad a great experience at Jae! The studios are clean and the equipment is top notch. As a new student their online guide for new students and FAQ's were so helpful. I felt very comfortable and the instruction helped me unlock some skills I had been trying to nail for a while. Will be back :)
Mar 20, 2025 · Elijah OstrowThis cozy space is exactly what I needed in my life. So far I have taken only movement-based classes, but absolutely look forward to some of the other enrichment classes offered! The instructors are kind, inclusive, and more than willing to accommodate students who need modifications. I love that the class offerings are designed to meet students where they are at, from those who are new to a particular movement style (dance, Barre, Tai chi, etc.), to those who may have more experience. As a dancer, I enjoy the focus on freestyle and feel very supported by the curriculum for those days where I need more guidance, or days where I want a little more freedom in the prompts/direction given to me. Bonus points for the variety of beverages that they offer for sale! What feels the best is that I never have that "I don't want to go to class" feeling when I am scheduled at Jae. I know that I can show up as I am and be supported and cared for, which really means a lot.
Dec 10, 2024 · Sarah BakerCame to the beginner class super excited with my friend, since its in seattle our "early bus" ended up making us get there 2 minutes past the start time.We got completely ghosted from the owner when we tried the call button, and I texted as well with no response. I understand wanting people to be on time however we had never taken a class like this before and didnt expect the rules to be this harsh. Truly we were only 2 minutes late because it was difficult to find the building once we ran off our bus. 45minutes of travel and $80 spent on tickets for no reason. Never been to a class or appointment in my life that's not given reasonable leeway. We were incredibly enthusiastic to take this class and totally crushed to get ghosted like that. And to be honest I don't even know if the class even happened, cause again, 0 responses.Never taken a dance class before so if being slightly late is some huge sin then my bad, but again, this was a beginner class. So expect beginners who don't know how this stuff works. I read up on their FAQ and it said they wanted you there 10min early, again the bus was late. Wasn't able to call ahead about that because the number is text only and the connection was spotty on the bus. With no further explanation besides possibly distrupting the flow (which it was 2 minutes so assuming they literally just started), I don't think its reasonable to fully not allow people in. I wanted to go, I had never been there before, the building was difficult to find even with directions, and nowhere does it say you'll be banned from entering at 6:30. Just says the door locks and for entering you need to use the call button (which they didnt answer). Incredibly disappointing considering how cool the class looked and how nice the other reviews are. Only reccommend this if you're willing to potentially lose your money for being even a minute late.
