Expressions Academy of Dance Reviews
I cannot say enough good things about this dance studio. From initial interest of signing up to end of the dance season, the staff has been nothing but kind, welcoming, and flexible. Any questions are answered with promptness and honesty. Their communication is too notch with any updates or rescheduling. My daughter celebrated her birthday here as well and it was amazing. The staff literally took care of everything and all we had to do was arrange food & dessert. I highly recommend expressions dance academy. My daughter has had the best experience here.
Jun 06, 2023 · Snstbeach777My daughter has been with expressions for a couple of years now. My first impressions were 5 stars however I have to change my rating to 4 and here is why:I feel like the dance classes are just prep for the optional recital. Maybe this is typical I don't know but it seems that's all they are teaching. My daughter enjoys it, that's all that matters to me so no biggie just an observation and maybe i'm wrong here. The recital:The recital itself is massive overkill with the dance company, I did not come there to see 1 hour of the dance company and 1 minute of the little ones dancing. I get it, its supposed to be a show and the parents of the dance company kids are there too and if I want my kid to be in the dance company they could try out for it and then pay for it etc. etc. still a bit too much dance company for me personally maybe not for others. The hiphop class my daughter was in they sort of ushered them out on the stage, they danced which was super cute and then ushered them off. Did not even give the audience a chance to cheer for them. Let them pose for 10 seconds and let the parents cheer for them. This is not too much to ask. A small detail that would go along way. I don't understand this. The recital video. before each dance there is a break in the video which lists the dancers names, which is nice. They left my daughters name off and she was the only one left off. Not a huge deal but again another detail that would be nice, get your stuff together guys :-)
Dec 21, 2023 · Developer EnablementDisappointed about the false advertising in the City of Lincoln's Rec guide for 2016. It is advertised that there is a class for ages 7-17, but when i tried to sign my kids up I was told that the cut off age is 8 years old. This makes no sense, the majority of kids who want to be involved in hip hop are 13-18. How do I know? I'm an expert by way of music director at a local hip hop station. All this money Lincoln has and they can't cater to rec programs for older teens and limit the ones they are interested in. Such a shame, hip hop is for everyone.** update I was able to get my daughter into a hip hop class directly through the dance academy for less, I'm now a happy client.
