Manuia Polynesian Revue - Rocklin Reviews
Such an amazing studio. Love being able to have something my daughter and I can both do. There are also so many different dance class options during the week and opportunities to sign up for community events and performances, but signing up for performances is not mandatory if you just want to do the class for fun or for a work out. Kristen and Fredo are amazing and so welcoming. If you are interested in learning Polynesian dance, this is the place to do it. 🥰
Mar 21, 2024 · Marcie JohnsonI’ve always wanted to learn Polynesian dances growing up. Now I get to share the experience with my daughter. My daughter and I started when Kristen and Fredo first brought Manuia Polynesian Revue to Rocklin last year and we’ve enjoyed every minute of it. Performing for community events has been a great experience. Performing is voluntary so you can simply dance just to get a good work out and believe me you’ll be workin up a good sweat! Kristen is an amazing teacher and dancer. You can feel her passion with every move she makes. The environment is very welcoming. Anyone can join! Congratulations to Fredo and Kristen on their studio. We’re so happy to be part of the Manuia Family and am excited for what the future holds for your beautiful family.
Mar 22, 2024 · Nerlein NevarezFitness, fun, friendly, family-oriented, and fa’arapu! If you’ve ever been interested in Polynesian dancing, either brand new or looking to check if those hips can still sway, if you feelintimidated because you’re not sure if you have the skills, feel like your mom bod is stopping you, I want you to definitely come check out Manuia, and I promise you, you will have fun and those fears will fade away.My daughter and I currently dance with Manuia and we have so much fun learning and improving our skills of ori’ tahiti, learning other styles such as hula, Samoan siva, and Māori, and we have a blast performing at local community events with our dance sisters. Only established a year ago, it’s been a pleasure watching it grow to what it is today and I am so grateful to have our family be part of Manuia family.Kristen, the instructor, is the sweetest and such a beautiful, graceful dancer. Together with her husband Fredo, the brains of the business operation side, they have created such a welcoming environment where one can learn and appreciated the Polynesian culture through dance.
Mar 08, 2024 · Erika Rae AquinoManuia is such great community. Kristen and Fredo are both amazing and everyone is so welcoming and treats you like Ohana. Kristen does such an amazing job teaching and makes dancing so fun. Super grateful to have them!!!
Mar 12, 2024 · Rose GonzalesNothing but good words and good vibes for this business. Big congratulations on your retail space! Hopefully your membership and family grows even more!We moved from the Bay Area a few years ago and we’re happy to have come upon their initial social media post about starting up in this area. With my wife having prior experience and having grown up dancing with her sisters (one currently still dances) and my daughter now being at an age where she is old enough to learn these things, joining this group was a no brainer. It allows my wife and daughter to share a bond, our family to join a commubity, furthering our ability to truly lay down our roots here up in Placer County…. and most importantly- gives my 3yo son an opportunity to get free snacks from his many aunties and sistahs during practices. The owners and their extended family are welcoming and kind- speaking true to the Polynesian culture where everyone is considered family. You can tell the owners, Fredo and Kristen care so much about what they do. Kindness and patience is important and they have an abundance of that.I’ve recently taken up the interest to also get invovled in the culture and have volunteered to be part of their soon to be formed drum crew, playing the Toere. Which has ultimately turned this thing into a family activity- hopefully soon my son will be able to dance too, but for now I think he is content with just hanging out and collecting snacks. Lol.Join up and be part of the family! Cheeehoooo!
