DivaDance® DC Reviews
Unfortunately, my first experience with Diva Dance DC will probably have me never coming back. I used to go to the diva dance in ny, and I loved the vibe so after moving to the DC area I thought to try it out. I spoke to the owner back in January when i called to inquire about classes. She accommodated me because I'm a flight attendant and allowed me to start my unlimited membership in March (and extended the durtlation because of my sporadic schedule)I went on the diva dance weboage to sign up but the login page wouldn't allow me to get in. It eventually forwarded me to the mind body portal which also didn't work. I tried multiple times. I ended up calling the owner and no answer so I left her a message. I called the diva dance number and left a message as well. A few days later, I still didnt hear back. I tried the web page again and reset my password but it still didn't work. I called the diva dance number again and nobody answered. I left another message. I called the owner again and still no response. I then texted her but nothing. After doing some research, it appeared that you had to download the mind body app in order to register.I registered for a class this past Monday and Tuesday. After receiving the confirmation email, I selected the option to add it to my calendar. The first one took me to Epic Yoga DC and I took the class. On Tuesday however, the Google invite took me to epic yoga again. I arrived at 5:50. Class wad at 6. After arriving, the yoga staff told me the class wasn't there; that it was located at a different studio. I showed them the confirmation email from diva dance and when you clicked on directions, Google maps generated epic yoga. They Informed me that it's happened a few times before but they didn't know where to send me because they don't work for them. They were super helpful on reaching out to get info for me. They also tried the diva dance number and of course, no answer. They finally found an address and gave it to me. I was irritated because I had already searched and paid for parking so I ran to my car to see if I could make the other class. The other locatiom was surrounded by construction. So parking was extremely limited. By the time I found parking it was 635 and the class ended at 7. I paid for parking (again) and checked in with the host and let her know how upset I was with the entire experience. I showed her my call logs, my text messages as well as the confirmation email generating the wrong address and she was super apologetic. She asked if I spoke to the owner and I told her I had been trying to reach her for a week and no luck. She told me would message her and that she would get back to me because it was unacceptable. I was offered another class at 745 back at Epic Yoga. I was hesitant because I had to go home and pack for work but I figured I might as well since i already drove out to DC. So I waited in my car, headed back to Epic Yoga, paid for parking (again) and took the class. I wanted to wait 24 hours to see if someone reached out... but they didn't. The dance instructors are fun but the communication within the company is terrible and a huge turn off. Probably wont end up going back here again.
Mar 20, 2025 · CeeCeeWent to a class to see if I would like it. It was a fun atmosphere, simple choreography, not really that much of a workout. What irked me was the hard sell at the end of the class. They pulled all of the newbies aside and talked to them about the subscription / package offerings and wanted us to make a decision right there - it was uncomfortable to say the least.
Jan 22, 2025 · Emily BlumenfeldI've been going to Diva Dance for a few weeks and I love it! I've gone to different workout classes and nothing is like Diva Dance. When you walk in, it's a realy welcoming vibe and all the girls and Diva Dance gals are really sweet. Unlike Solidcore or Barry's, its more community focus, where you get the first few minutes to talk to the girls in the class. For the actual dance, the instructor goes through it with you and also leaves the floor open for any questions in case you're confused about any steps. You don't have to be a professional or anything to start. I got involved because I wanted to learn how to dance. But it's really awesome meeting people from different levels of dance skill! I bought the membership thinking I'd probably only go once a week, but the schedules been amazing so I'm planning to go at least a couple times a week this month. If you're looking for a fun way to exercise, make some new friends, and get a bit of a confidence boost, try this place out! 10/10 recommend!
Feb 06, 2024 · Rochelle BergantinosDiva Dance DC is such a great place to come and dance your cares away! The instructors bring hot choreo to each class and guide you along each step. The community is amazing and I’ve made SO many friends both at class and at Diva Dates out and about in the District!
Mar 30, 2024 · Ajani SkeeteI have been going to Diva Dance now for a year. The moment I went in for a trial class, I was obsessed. Once the class was done, I signed for an annual membership. Classes are super fun, and for all levels! I have made so many friends in this community and every class feels empowering. I have been able to find myself again with dance, and wouldn’t pick any other community to share my dancing nights with!
