Dance Underground Reviews
Amazing dance instructors (Drew & Tamber) and friendly staff. Wonderfully spacious. What's not to love?
Oct 14, 2024 · Jun-Li ZhongThe weekly Tango night here was one of the least welcoming atmospheres I've ever seen. The lady at the door sneered at me when she found out I was a beginner, and suggested that I should probably try to stay out of the way of experienced dancers. This is a community where beginners are unwelcome, unwanted, and actively discouraged.
Sep 23, 2014 · Michael KrotscheckA great place to dance, an excellent floor, next to wonderful restaurants.I highly recommend dance events in this spot. ( I came for tango - the tango organizers are wonderful people )
Oct 21, 2023 · Jurni RocoI visited Seattle for work for three weeks and danced in the various venues around town. Dance Underground was the most welcoming and place I danced. There was a full range of dancers from the 20 year olds to 70 year olds and all the ages in between. It was democratic since folks just wanted to dance and enjoy themselves. I truly felt that Ilana and Tony set the tone for people coming there that it is an inviting and warm place. Need I dare mention the size and variety of food that was laid out. I don't think I've ever seen this in many of the milongas I've ever attended. What I have learned is that the hosts set the tone of who comes and dances in their place, and it was continually demonstrated to me each and every time I came.Hat's off to both of them. They really do this with a good heart and it show. Thanks again for making my busy trip in Seattle a success.
