Coupé Theatre Studio Reviews
The culture here is extremely toxic, there is sadly mean girl behavior from the students and staff. We unfortunately found Coupe to be very far from inclusive and encouraging, specifically issues with an advanced teacher and what we feel is her inappropriate management style of interactions with students. My daughter was targeted for ridicule, getting yelled at constantly to the point of tears before and after class. I sat outside the class one day and I heard for myself how disrespectfully this teacher spoke towards my daughter and I pulled her from the class that day. The director dodged my calls and chose not to respond to any emails which is a cowardly and careless way to direct a dance studio. There is also the nepotism that the director feeds into and the dance moms and kids are well aware of. Coupe only cares how much money you will throw at them with no regard for dancers self esteem or creative development. I would urge you to not send your child here, especially if they are neurodivergent, there are many great studios in this county and this is an unkind environment for young dancers.
Jan 09, 2025 · sionain MaireMy daughter has been dancing here at this studio for nine years. We absolutely love it. She has always had very nurturing teachers and has made lifelong friendships. I felt compelled to post In response to a previous review; I work full time and I am a single mom and my daughter has never been treated unfairly as a result. Coupe has taken her ballet training to the next level and she has been invited to attend The School of American Ballet’s Junior Summer program for the last two years- Thanks to Coupe.
Jun 11, 2022 · Taylor StrackWe have had our daughters attend Coupe for the last 16 years. Both girls have come away from their time there as wonderful dancers and have also developed discipline, self-respect, respect for others and self-confidence as a result of their hard work and the amazing instructors at Coupe. We appreciate the time and effort that Coupe's very caring and professional owners and instructors put in with each of our daughters, and believe it is a wonderful place for a child to learn dance, make friends, and to grow up!
Oct 21, 2022 · Michael SchmidtMy daughter has been taking dance at Coupe since the age of three. She is now 12 and has developed so many amazing dance skills. The teachers and staff are wonderful and care so much about the students. We are very proud to be part of the Coupe family.
Oct 18, 2022 · Janine MillerMy daughter Aibhlinn would live at Coupé if she could! She absolutely loves all her teachers and said they are comparable to the teaching techniques used at School of American Ballet!! As parents, we have found the teachers to be very professional, they work with each child individually, giving them constructive criticism and building up their confidence in their abilities! We feel very fortunate to have this amazing school in our area!
