Neighborhood Ballet Reviews
Highly recommend! My daughter has danced with The Neighborhood Ballet and now Rise City Dance for 6 years. She has loved it from the first day! I appreciate the intentionality and dedication of the staff to develop the whole child and I value the personal growth experiences for my daughter on and off the stage.
Nov 19, 2024 · Becky NguyenCould not love Neighborhood Ballet more! Such a great environment for our 4 year old to explore and learn about dance! We absolutely love her instructor, Ms. Katie. She is so patient, knowledgeable, creative, and kind. We are so lucky to have Neighborhood Ballet in our neighborhood!
Nov 20, 2024 · Anna MWe are so happy with the toddler ballet classes here. The dance teachers and staff are so kind and have made such a friendly and welcoming environment. My daughter loves her ballet class and we are very happy to be part of the neighborhood ballet family.
Nov 20, 2024 · LoriI’m reposting my review for their Grant Park location here, because it’s important that families are aware of how these people operate.——This place is a scam, and their communication is absolutely atrocious. I was charged $450 for a recital I didn’t know about and never planned to attend, and they’re refusing to refund me.My three toddlers (under 5) were going here for months, paying almost $300 a month, but they weren’t really learning much, so I decided to pull them out. That’s when I found out about the $450 charge (they keep your payment method on file). Apparently, because I didn’t respond to an “opt-out” email for the recital, they just went ahead and charged me without my knowledge or consent. When I informed them that this was the first I was hearing about a recital and asked for a refund, they just pointed to the legal info on their emails and website and refused a refund. They send tons of emails every week—sometimes 16 or more in a month—so it’s impossible to keep up. There’s no in-person info, just endless emails. The in-person communication is even worse. Teachers are always rushing kids in and out and never have time to talk. If you try to ask about your child’s progress, they make it clear they don’t have time. The lack of communication, poor organization, and bad customer service made this a terrible experience. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone.
Mar 06, 2025 · Sahar SchneiderAbsolutely love the neighborhood Ballet. My daughter is thriving under their tutelage and guidance. The environment is warm and welcoming (not toxic like many other dance schools). Their approach is also very modern and inclusive. The instructors are focused on supporting dancers and helping them to reach their goals.
