Christian Arts Academy Reviews
My daughter has been with Christian Arts Academy for 5 years and is now 15. She has grown in confidence, resilience, determination, responsibility and just simply has flourished!!! She loves it! Andrea Wood puts Christ first and pours her heart out to her students! Andrea is passionate, has expertise with dance teaching and goes above and beyond with her studio in very professional, loving and faithful way. As a parent I love the prayer, scripture and worship during classes, the modest costumes, and christian music!! An outstanding/organized recital performance just occured in June that I thoroughly enjoyed! God Bless!
Aug 02, 2023 · Cheryl PetronMy daughter was in dance this past year with Ms Andreas team and she absolutely loved it. The best part was knowing that she was learning how to dance and reinforce the values of a Christian home. We loved the family feel of being new to the studio but not feeling “new”. Thank you so much for pouring into your staff so they can pour into our children.
Aug 02, 2023 · Carrie HoweMy girls love dancing here! Andrea and all of the teachers do such a great job.Being a part of this dance studio has provided my girls a place where they can learn new skills, be creative, dance, play, make friends, learn the value of hard work and being a team player, among other things. But most importantly, the biblical principles we teach at home are reinforced and they are encouraged to use their gifts and talents to glorify God and spread joy!I appreciate that they are homeschool friendly and offer daytime classes. The summer programs/camps have been especially fun for my girls! I also love that I don’t have to worry about the music, costumes, or dance moves being inappropriate in any way. We love this place!
Aug 02, 2023 · Rachel MayI found Christian Arts Academy as I was looking for a Christian dance studio for my daughter. I grew up taking ballet and I wanted my daughter to have that same experience but with a Christ-centered focus. Christian Arts Academy checked all of the boxes for us. My daughter had Ms. Mackenzie and she just loved her. We've signed her up for another class with Ms. Mackenzie this fall. We drive 30 minutes one way just to go to this studio because of what it stands for and I don't regret the drive at all. If you're looking for a great dance studio that puts Christ first, Christian Arts Academy is the place for you.
Aug 04, 2023 · Alexandra ChristensonMy daughter went to this Academy for two years. The first year I really loved her instructer Isabelle. She was very sweet and professional and taught at a skill level. The downside was that my daughter was placed in a class with girls half her size and age which made things feel out of balance for my daughter, especially during the recital. At the recital that year, the owners assistant, Amber Leon, was extremely rude and condescending. She approached me and my family several times asking where our tickets were as if we would be in the auditorium without paying for a ticket. While we were in the lobby, after the recital, taking pictures as a family, she approached us at least twice asking if we checked our daughter out. After I had already told her we did. It was unnecessary and I don’t think you need to interrupt a family taking pictures for something that could have waited. She was very rude during these interactions, and it was to a point where my family said we should just leave before we get yelled at again.I thought I would give them another try. The following dance year her instructor was McKenzie. I was not happy with this instructor at all. She ate during instruction, was lazy, and did not teach at a skilled level, the couple interactions I had with her she was not friendly at all. I was still determined that my daughter would finish out the year though. And yet again, my experience during the recital was another huge disappointment. McKenzie was barking orders at parents repeatedly. I could not believe how this young lady would talk to her elders, who are also parents paying for their service. Dance families were told to be there earlier and so we started to go into the auditorium to get seats. McKenzie barged in the auditorium with her hands on her hips yelling at the parents that we needed to get out of there and that we were not supposed to be in there yet. I could hear other parents commenting on how they thought she was rude. Another mom stated that that was her first year putting her daughter in dance. I just don’t understand why you would talk to dance families this way if you are a business that should be operating in a Christian manner. You could be making an impact on families that are not Christian as well. As a business with a Christian label you are held at a higher standard. At any “Christian” organization you want to feel the love of Christ when you are there. I didn’t get that with this place. The only difference between this place and a secular dance place is that they dance to Christian music. I paid over $100 a month just to watch my daughter skip across stage for two minutes at the recital because McKenzie taught her absolutely nothing.
