Center for Performing Arts Dance Studio & Acting School Reviews
I just had my sons Nerf birthday party there. It was such an amazing time! It was his first class party and I wanted a venue where parents who chose to stay would be able to sit and relax while the kids had fun. CPAM was the perfect place for that! Their HUGE lobby had lots of seating options and a nice toy area for the little kiddos who weren’t interested in the Nerf part. I’m that same area I was also able setup a long table for pizza, cake, presents, AND a fun piñata! The studio space for the Nerf Blasters was AMAZING! It was spacious, the kids had plenty of space to run around, and I could even play music. I would HIGHLY recommend this place! My son is still talking about what a great time he had.
Nov 05, 2023 · nicole suretteMy 9 year old daughter Aisling (AJ) started dancing at CPAM when she was 2.5 years old. My 4 year old daughter, Lily, started the same age as her sister. The teachers are amazing, dedicated and encourage and elevated their students confidence. We come to think of the teachers and students as part of our family. Both girls are on the dance team and absolutely love it! Because of AJ's extensive training through master summer camps, competitions, and recitals, she got accepted into the Joffery ballet summer camp this summer. Thank you Michelle Mitchitson, Nikki Surette, Avery Pelosi, Jalayna Demars, Vickki McPhee, Sophia Mitchitson, and Ariana Mitchitson for the the countless hours you have spent inspiring, helping, and motivating my girls and teaching them how to use their passion, work hard all year long, and reach their personal best ❤
Jan 31, 2022 · Juanette LaforgeMy 16 year old has been a dancer at the Center for Performing Arts Methuen since she was 3 years old, dancing competitively for the past 5 years. They offer dance, theatre, voice and acro for ages 2 and up. There are even several classes for adults. Monthly rates and costume fees are reasonably priced. Costumes and dances are always age appropriate.I cannot say enough about the amazing instruction, support and encouragement of Michelle and her staff! She fosters an environment focused on personal growth and achievement. She has always been diligent about cleanliness and there is currently a mask requirement at the studio to keep all students, teachers and families safe, which I love.I highly recommend CPAM!
Jan 26, 2022 · McPhee FamilyUpdate: “Hi Anna, Your refund of $107.55 has been sent to your P.O. Box. We apologize and found that we had your daughter Lemon mixed up with another student the same age, also named Lemon, resulting in your account being inaccurate. We wish you all the best. “This is a lie because there is most certainly not another child named Lemon with the same age. I paid out of my pocket around 250 and attended one dance class. Not sure how my account could be inaccurate due to what I already paid. Clearly she wants to keep most of my money.. this business practice just gives me the ick.I was hoping they would make it right and I could remove this review but I wanted to share an update instead because clearly this is more deflection and a women who doesn’t want to be held accountable. I will take this up with the BBB and I hope in the future they treat families more respect.-Attended one class and it costed me 250I was hoping this studio would be a good fit for my daughter but after one dance class my daughter refused to go back.I signed her up for princess dance camp and when we got there I realized it wasn’t handicap accessible so I couldn’t bring my mom in a wheelchair up. I also had my 5 month old with me. It was extremely hot in the waiting area and I didn’t feel comfortable leaving my child with the student teachers alone because then there would have been no adult. I left and brought my mom and baby to my mom in-law because it was too hot for him and my mom was not able to come up.My daughter was the only one in a princess dress and the youngest student and with that she felt very singled out.I decided with these reasons if my daughter is refusing to go back I won’t force her. We also live 40 minutes away.I attached all the payments they made me make.Around $250.00 She’s only attended one class.I was made to pay $45 for her to have a spot in the fall dance class,15$ as a holding feeAnd $183 for her princess campThe owner refuses to refund me anything instead refund my account of $163 that can only be used at the dance studio that I pulled her out of.I find this to be extremely greedy and really really really mean as her last words to me where “I hope your daughter finds home dance studio”If you cared about my daughter dancing or cared about dance at all… you would do what is right.
Aug 12, 2024 · AnnaWe were thrilled to find a place where both of our children could take classes despite their different interests in performing arts! Our oldest takes voice and acting classes and participates in theater productions, while our younger child dances. Over the years, as we saw the talent developed by kids in the program, our daughters were inspired to deepen their studies. Our girls’ love and appreciation for performing arts has grown and blossomed here! It’s a lot of goodness under one roof, with great instruction, amazing performances, and reasonable prices!
