Adage Ballet Academy

1938 1st Ave S, Seattle, WA 98134, USA

5.0
The Summer Intensive (SI) program is impressive. Our daughter attended the SI for four weeks, and the results were notable. Her balance, flexibility, and technique noticeably improved in one month of dancing. This can be attributed to small class sizes taught by caring and talented ballet coaches who work with each student individually. Adage Ballet Studio also included yoga and ballet theory into the curriculum, which is a huge value add to the Summer Intensive program. Our daughter attends a phenomenal ballet school September-June, which we love! Abby Jayne and Guillaume of Adage Ballet Studio have enhanced our daughter’s dancing, and furthered her love of ballet! We highly recommend this ballet and yoga studio. 5/5 stars. - Natalie Scarella

    • Primary Tier: A multi-year program for dancers aged 11-18, divided into Foundation, Essentials, and Advanced subdivisions. This tier focuses on mastering primary ballet components, pointe readiness, and expressive artistry, including opportunities for pas de deux and competitions for advanced students.
    • Adagio Tier: A pre-professional program for dancers aged 16-20, offering intensive technical instruction, artistic development, and audition support, including leadership roles and touring opportunities with the Adage Ballet Ensemble.
  • Summer Intensive (SI) Program: An impressive, highly recommended program designed for noticeable improvement in balance, flexibility, and technique over a few weeks. It includes not only intensive ballet classes but also valuable additions like yoga and ballet theory.

These provide focused training in conditioning, technique, and performance skills, often led by the academy directors and designed to prepare dancers for key moments in the dance year.
