A-List Dance Center stands as a shining example of such a place, consistently lauded by its community as a transformative environment where young dancers are meticulously trained and thoughtfully prepared for life's broader stages. As one profoundly grateful parent shared, whose two daughters graduated from the studio: "Our girls trained in ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, musical theatre, contemporary, acro and hip hop and participated with the competition team for the past 10 seasons. The girls were very well trained in technique and performance scoring consistently in overalls with their solos, duets/trios, and group dances. We were very pleased with the dance training they received, but even more then that we have been so impressed with the way that A-List has helped prepare them for the next stage of life." This sentiment speaks volumes about the holistic approach of A-List Dance Center, going beyond leaps and turns to instill essential life skills. Another dancer, who spent seven pivotal years at the studio, reflected, "The friends I’ve made here are the most important people to me in the world. I wouldn’t trade my experiences here for anything. The lessons I’ve learned here, both about dance and just about life in general, are so important and I will remember them forever. It is such a fun, high energy, loving place that is so uplifting and I will cherish my memories here forever." This unwavering dedication to both artistic excellence and personal growth makes A-List Dance Center an unparalleled destination for aspiring dancers in the Indiana region.

Jazz: These dynamic classes blend various jazz styles, focusing on isolations, turns, leaps, and rhythmic movements. Jazz cultivates energy, precision, and performance quality, often set to upbeat and contemporary music.

Lyrical: Combining elements of ballet and jazz, lyrical dance focuses on expressive movement, conveying emotion, and interpreting song lyrics. It emphasizes fluidity, grace, and storytelling through dance.
Musical Theatre: This program integrates dance technique with acting and performance skills, preparing dancers for stage productions. It often draws on jazz, ballet, and tap, focusing on character portrayal and stage presence.
Contemporary: An expressive style that incorporates elements of ballet, jazz, and modern dance, contemporary focuses on technical skill, musicality, and emotional expression through abstract movements and floor work.
Acro: This unique blend of dance technique and tumbling helps dancers improve flexibility, core strength, and coordination while learning acrobatic skills that can be incorporated into their routines.
Hip Hop: High-energy classes that teach popular street dance styles, grooves, and freestyle movements, giving dancers the opportunity to develop their own unique style while learning about hip hop history.
Tiny Tots (Ages 2.5 to 5): Specifically designed for the youngest dancers, these programs introduce basic movement, rhythm, and creative expression through ballet and tap, focusing on gross motor skills in a fun, age-appropriate setting.
Age and Skill-Based Classes: The academy offers structured classes for various age groups (K-1st grade, 2nd-5th grade, Middle/High School, Adult) with multiple levels of difficulty, ensuring appropriate placement and progressive learning for every student.
Elite Competition Team: For dedicated dancers aged 7 to 18, the competition team provides advanced training, challenging choreography, and opportunities to compete at various levels, fostering discipline and performance excellence.

A-List Dance Center Reviews
I have 2 daughters that have danced at A-List Dance Center- one graduated a few years ago and the other just graduated last month. Our girls trained in ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, musical theatre, contemporary, acro and hip hop and participated with the competition team for the past 10 seasons. The girls were very well trained in technique and performance scoring consistently in overalls with their solos, duets/trios, and group dances. We were very pleased with the dance training they received, but even more then that we have been so impressed with the way that A-List has helped prepare them for the next stage of life. Our girls have mastered more than leaping, turning and performing. They have learned how to win and lose gracefully, be resilient in challenging times, think on their feet, improvise when needed, work hard, be persistent, teamwork, self-discipline, how to take and give critique, dedication, leadership, made lots of amazing friends and so much more. The staff is great at helping the girls find their strengths, work on their weaknesses and finding ways for each dancer to shine. We are forever grateful for our A-List Family!
Aug 02, 2022 · Jen DossI have danced here since I was 8 years old and it has been the best 7 years of my life. The friends I’ve made here are the most important people to me in the world. I wouldn’t trade my experiences here for anything. The lessons I’ve learned here, both about dance and just about life in general, are so important and I will remember the forever. It is such a fun, high energy, loving place that is so uplifting and I will cherish my memories here forever.
Jul 16, 2022 · Emily LovikMy daughter has been with A-List since she was 3 years old and has competed for the past 6 years. Not only has she grown immensely as a dancer (she has competed in tap, jazz, lyrical, and musical theater and also trains in ballet every week), she has created incredible friendships over the years as well. After years at the same studio, the teachers and dancers (and their families) have become our dance FAMILY! I can't say enough great things about the studio, the talented instructors, the hardworking dancers, or the studio owner who pours her heart and soul into these kids. Your kid isn't just a number at A-List, they are part of the A-List family.
Jul 15, 2022 · Teri LongMy daughter joined this dance studio the day they opened ten years ago in 2012. She has blossomed to an amazing dancer well versed in jazz, tap, ballet, contemporary, lyrical, musical theater and hip hop genres. The teachers and studio owner are caring and dedicated and go above and beyond to make sure the students their first priority. There are recreation and competition options offered every day of the week! I highly suggest joining the A List family and being a part of a high energy, fun loving studio that will quickly become your home away from home.
Jun 15, 2022 · Stephanie BurnsSo my daughter had been with A list for seven years. For about the first 6 it was great but this last year there was a change in ✌️ management ✌️ and since that change in management it's gone SEVERELY downhill. IMO the instructors have been sub-par. The technique class is a joke. Ballet instructor can be a bit aggressive towards the girls so much so that some dancers have left the studio. Being a dance dad I don't get into all the drama of the dance moms but there is no TEAM at this studio regarding their comp team. If you don't go to Carmel schools and aren't affiliated with Carmel dance you are irrelevant. I kept it at 2 stars due to the fact that my daughter had so many good years there but parents cautious with your selection of the studio for your daughter/son
