Uptown Dance Center Reviews
Being at uptown means so much to me I started dancing here when I was a child up until I was a teenager and now I have the privilege of watching Ms.Leta teach my daughter at the same age of 5 when I started. I love that this is a family dancing school and that we are practicing growing and learning the art of dance thank you Ms.Leta for all you do for our babies they will be amazing performers!
Feb 01, 2025 · Anayancy BonnetMy kids have been dancing with Uptown Dance for about 3 years and they love it! They enjoy the classes, making new friends and learning new dances. The highlight is the end of the year showcase.
Feb 01, 2025 · Emmeline HolmesI have been apart of the Uptown family for over 20 years I started as a preschool dancer and elevated to a member of the Senior Company Dance Team. My experiences were phenomenal. I learned to be confident in who I am. I had experiences that took me places I could not have ever imagined field trips to Boston Ballet performances, out of state competitions winning first place multiple years, fundraising events such as DJ Dream Fund, performing at Boston’s “First Night” event , four years of being chosen for multiple roles in the Urban Nutcracker with my most proudest moment as lead performer Clarice and many more. As well as building life long friendships with fellow dancers in the Uptown family. Now as a mom I have returned with my daughter who expressed the desire to be a dancer and to go to dance school to learn how to dance. With that I knew I had to take her to be taught by Ms. Leta. The technique, the discipline, and the joy of dance that you experience is unmatched. Ms. Leta is passionate, patient and an expert in the Art of dance (ballet, tap, jazz, modern, acro), grace, poise and in building confidence. She shows an overflowing love for what she does and for her students.
Oct 14, 2023 · Ayanna BryantBeautiful facility. The teachers are well-versed and broad in their skill-set. It’s clear they know that they’re doing. The technique, music and choreography is so varied. They make sure the students get a wide range of ballet, jazz etc. but ESPECIALLY ACROBATICS. And their studio manager is so accommodating and knowledgeable. 10/10 🥰
Aug 23, 2024 · Aura TavaresMy daughter has been in this dance school for over a year and I love how much she has progressed. Ms. Leta is a wonderful teacher and is so sweet to the kids and allows them to have fun but help them really lean and be structured. I’m excited for my daughter to grow more in this school and meet more friends . Also shout out to the dance assistant and Ms.Dorthy for making sure the parents and students have everything they need . I really couldn’t imagine being my princess any where else .
