I have a friend's daughter who has been taking voice lessons here and it is transformed her. She's become so confident and self-assured on the stage and her vocal schools out of improved remember state. The teachers are really care put in the time and make an effort to improve not only the students but themselves as teachers. Could not more highly recommend this place

To start on a positive note, the teachers were kind, and our children enjoyed their lessons and the opportunity to participate in the recital. We were hopeful it would be a lasting fit.Unfortunately, our overall impression took a sharp turn after our last class about a month ago (more on why we had to leave in a moment). Since then, we've contacted the school twice to request the return of our last-month deposit. Coincidentally, the school didn't once mention the deposit in their final emails with us. To date, we have not received the deposit nor any response or acknowledgment whatsoever. This lack of communication (and frankly, what feels like outright avoidance) has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. That lack of basic professionalism and follow-through is what ultimately left us with a negative experience.Unlike many other schools in the area, this one does not offer a free trial lesson (you pay for the trial) and charges both an annual fee and a last-month deposit on top of your first month's dues. These fees are per child. While it felt like a lot upfront, we justified it believing the deposit would ultimately be returned, but in our case it never was, despite our follow-up attempts.With two children, we hoped to have them with the same teacher on the same day to minimize trips. That wasn't possible, so we settled on 2 different teachers for a while. When a scheduling conflict arose, our only options were to waitlist or switch a teacher, neither of which felt ideal. At that point, we decided to leave to explore other options. (We've since transitioned to another school where both of our kids now see the same teacher on the same day. Plus, a free trial and no annual fee or deposit.)I genuinely hope Torrance Arts Academy takes a hard look at how it handles communication and maintains trust with families. That relationship shouldn't end the moment a family leaves. Ghosting clients is not only unprofessional and discourteous, it's a guaranteed way to lose repeat business (which we would have considered) and turn what could have been positive word-of-mouth into a cautionary tale we now feel compelled to share.

Fantastic music class. My daughter is 5 years old and learning to play piano really well. Great instructor ! They are amazing and patient! Highly recommend!!

Staff & teachers are amazing. We’ve been here for many years with both my girls, and included is preparation for multiple recitals, which has always been so helpful and the best experiences.

Best music school ever! We found TAA in January 2021, after visiting a couple other local music schools that fell far short in many areas. One school told my oldest daughter her fingers were too small to play the guitar after she expressed her excitement to play. When I called TAA, they were so encouraging about her playing guitar and welcomed us with open arms. My daughter has been rocking out on her guitar ever since, and crushing it on vocals thanks to the amazing instructors at TAA, and we’ve worked with almost all of them over the past 4 years. My youngest daughter takes piano and drum lessons, both of which have brought her out of her shell and showed us a confident side we have never seen – we owe that to TAA. TAA offers recitals at least 3 times a year which allow the students to showcase their talent, and gain experience and confidence performing in front of a live audience. It’s our favorite time of the year! TAA also gives back to the local community in several ways – for example, the students recently performed at a senior center bringing smiles, warmth and holiday joy to our local seniors. We are so grateful to the owner, Mrs. Jane, and the staff and instructors at TAA for providing a place where my daughters can show the world who they are through their music. I’m excited to watch their growth year after year. TAA is a top-notch music school, the best of the best, and a family we are proud to be a part of forever.
