the WRK. PLC. for dancers Reviews
I’ve been a part of many studios throughout my career and I am so thankful to have found WRK. PLC. To call my home. Being a teacher I have been present for many conversations with studio owners and I have never experienced a studio owner with intentions and goals as pure and positive as Jessi. Every day she is thinking about how to make the studio experience for these kids so special and personalized. She doesn’t prioritize awards/placements, she just wants to see each one of these kids build their love for dance and accomplish their unique goals. I love this place and the people I get to share it with so much!

Jun 26, 2025 · McKennah AffonsoIf I could give zero stars, I would. Our experience with this studio was extremely disappointing. My niece was repeatedly subjected to unkind treatment from both her peers and some instructors. Despite raising our concerns with the owner, the issues were not addressed with the seriousness they deserved.A troubling incident involving online bullying by other students was brought to the studio’s attention, yet no action was taken. Instead, my niece was unfairly punished by losing solos she had earned through hard work and dedication.I strongly encourage families to explore other dance studios that genuinely care about their students’ well-being and foster a respectful, supportive environment.
Jun 25, 2025 · Samantha HibbardWe have been a part of dance for over 18 years, with 15 of those years being a part of company. We have seen many things as we navigated this journey (good, bad, ugly and indifferent) and have had the privilege of working with some great teachers along the way. Studios are complex hubs of artistic energy and free spirit. Sometimes that translates to what some may feel is lack of organization. I think that it is important to note if communication exists as that is one of the foundations of a good studio. Fostering a sense of community and genuine love is also one of the foundations our family feels is important for a studio to have. So much time is spent with one another, that you want the dancers to feel not only like a team, but also like a family. With that said, like in any situation where different personalities exist, there can be disagreements just as there can be moments of solidarity and support. Teaching dance, teaching appreciation for the craft, teaching grace and humility, teaching the joy of performing for the sake of performing and not solely for a trophy, instilling the fundamentals, celebrating the journey, empowering the freedom to express the curiosity of movement, challenging the person to be their best version of themselves and to always be present and grow, imparting wisdom - these things matter and we feel that the Wrk Plc does a good job at cultivating this.In our time here (5 years), I can honestly say this place is more than just a studio, but it is a family. There is a level of care and genuine interest in seeing the transformational journey take root and blossom. I saw the growth in my oldest and see the growth in my youngest now with regard to technique and artistry. There are opportunities to work on the craft outside of the studio and the dancers have the support of the staff to do so. My youngest was able to participate in the Nashville Ballet’s Nutcracker last year. There is also a level of accountability that is fostered which I find refreshing and again important in the shaping of the dancer and the individual. I appreciate the dedication and focus from Mr. Terin, Ms. Jessi, Marissa, Caroline, Haven, Lauren, Brighton, and all of the other faculty who have been a part of the Wrk family. Each instructor has a unique style and personality. Naturally, some personalities mesh easier than others, but at the end of the day the goal is still the same- to nurture and support these budding dancers and each teacher does that. Personally, whenever a problem has come up, there has been a directed effort to find a collaborative solution. My daughter loves being a member of team, being able to perform, being able to take class from her favorites, being able to participate in the Spirit events and holiday parties and most importantly just being able to DANCE and develop her craft.
