The J KC - Jewish Community Center Reviews
The J's childcare is excellent, that is the main reason we love the J so much. I don't have to worry about my kids for one second once I drop them off, I know they will be so well taken care of.I also love how many classes are offered daily, with SO many different times and class types. I know at any point in the day I can look at the next couple hours and find a class that fits what I want.
Jul 01, 2025 · Shaina KittsI currently teach ZUMBA, dance fitness for all, Tuesday 5:20pm.I had no idea this community until the fitness coordinator reached out to me to offer pop up class, summer sizzler AQUA ZUMBA a few years ago. There is gigantic outdoor pool with slide, lap pool, diving board, kid's area. The facility is well maintained, updated and clean. The gym in daycare is appealing.(I wish they provide adult daycare time?!) People, staffs and users, are nice and friendly. I feel good energies from young kids to seniors there all the time. Sports, arts, theater, events,,, lots of things are going on. As the name of place, inherit Jewish values is one of its mission, but all are welcome to this community center. Feel free, ask a tour, and try my ZUMBA class:D "Fitness can be fun" is my motto!
Feb 28, 2025 · Maki GonzalezThe J!! I would recommend this place to anyone! I have loved my time here and their membership prices and extremely reasonable. Especially since they have basketball gyms, classes, pools, and many other things! Staff is super nice and easy to talk too. The facilities are always clean and if you need something they’ll get it for you! Everyone should have a membership here.
Nov 23, 2023 · Leo EdwardsSuper disappointed with the dishonesty. When signing up, I was made aware that I would have to give 30 days notice, and if I didn't, I might get billed an additional month. Makes sense. So I've been coming here since the beginning of the year and after trying out the drive from home to the gym a few times, I decided it was too far and I would cancel. I call up the front desk to cancel, and am told I need to be transferred to the membership dept (its just one person) and when I was transferred I had to leave a voicemail. I called again asking how can I cancel without having to wait for a callback, and they said I should leave a 2nd voicemail.... really? So I check my emails and find the person, Laura, who does membership stuff. I send her an email saying I am cancelling as of today, and my membership should end at the end of the month. Well the lady calls me back and mentions to me for the first time that there's a 40% cancellation fee. 40% of what? I pay $91/month, month to month. She says my membership is "for the year", which doesn't make sense since again... I pay every month, and I can cancel whenever I want as long as I give 30 days. That's one of the reasons I signed up, no hidden fees (I thought) and no pressure to signup for a whole year ahead of time. Turns out this is how they get you.The lady said I could either continue my membership or pay the fee, which since it's July there's 5 (full) months left, so that's $91/month x 5 = $455 to keep coming here. Or I can pay 40% of that to get the privelege of leaving. So that's $182 I have to pay just to leave. I wonder why this extra fee never came up until now...This place is super overpriced anyway. Unless you have a big family, join their events/sessions, etc etc then it's not worth it as just a gym. There's closer places to the city that are only $50 a month and they don't have a "you have to pay us to leave" BS.
Jul 01, 2025 · BramEverything. We love the environment and the culture at the J. Our son moved two different daycares before we landed at the CDC, and we can see the difference in every aspect of child development. Our son loves the J and has shown huge transformation over the year. The teachers and staff are all very caring and attentive. I highly recommend CDC to families looking for a wholesome child development program.
