Suenos de Salsa Reviews
Great, respectful classes at a reasonable price. I have done 4 months of salsa with this studio so far and it has brought me joy and friends. There is room to make mistakes, and Michael will slow down the group lessons and adapt the material if the class as a whole is not going at the speed he originally expected. The instructor is great at telling you how well you progress while helping you determine what is holding you back when you make mistakes. Both Michael and the follow instructors (Cristy and Mojan, for me) know how to switch roles, too, with both expertise from experience and still curiosity to figure out the connection for the move with you.
May 13, 2025 · Austin GrahamWednesday night social dancing at Suenos de Salsa is my mid-week treat! The event starts on the earlier side of the evening, making it a perfect social to attend if you have to work the next morning. It is one of the friendlier, more inclusive places to dance if you are a beginner but it also draws plenty of seasoned dancers. The owner is a sweetheart, the DJ is fantastic and I always leave saying "I'm glad I went!"
Jun 12, 2025 · Jeannette Daneals ND, LMTGreat classes in Salsa 101, helpful and friendly instructors. Apprehensive as a first-time dancer (always considered myself someone with two left feet) but am already feeling very motivated after two classes of the four-part series
Mar 05, 2025 · Matthew JIt is difficult to put into words how much this business changed my life. I started attending classes in the last quarter of 2018. At the time I was living alone, working a low wage job with odd hours, and I vividly remember feeling so disappointed with how my twenties were going. I felt like I moved to a big city and yet didn't know anybody! I had a coworker at work suggest I take try a new hobby and randomly stumbled upon this place after some googling. That suggestion turned out to be life changing.Michael, Kelly and all the fabulous instructors at Suenos make dance so easy and fun to learn. Truly, your fears are in good hands with them. They don't shame you, or others when you try. They are excited when you improve even if its a tiny bit. You can see their passion and love for dance in every class. Seattle has an incredible salsa/bachata scene but Suenos is the place I will continue to come back to when I'm back in town because their passion leads to a wonderful and respectful community. I got so many friends from all the people I met. I discovered all the fun salsa clubs with a whole circle of friends. I became a regular attender for a time, and even met my now husband. Though I am not a professional dancer today, I get plenty of compliments at any dancing event I attend. Better yet, I just feel awesome having dance in my life. However you need to get to Suenos for your first lesson, be that groupon, a new client special, or maybe your spouse forces you, it's money well spent. Enjoy. Bailamos.
