Southold Dance Theater Reviews
This is our daughter’s second year dancing with the company at Southold. We have been thrilled with the progress we have seen her make as a dancer. The teachers have been so supportive, give corrections in a positive manner, and truly want the students to succeed. Not only are they training dancers, but also helping to guide them to become successful young adults. All teachers and staff are great at communicating with families and welcome parent questions and support.
Mar 06, 2025 · Terry SteinmetzFor the last decade, Southold Dance Theater has provided my children a pre-professional Arts education in Dance and performance. We have thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of their dance training from community-based performances at the SJCPL or outside for Arts Everywhere! or the favorite Nutcracker at the Morris Performing Arts Center. Teachers are generous with their time and expertise and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. 10/10
Mar 05, 2025 · Erin Moira LemrowMy daughter has taken ballet at Southold Dance Theater since she was four. She is now 15. She loves every minute of the classes and performances. It's a wonderful place.
Mar 04, 2025 · Juliann HuffI attended the Southold's presentation of The Nutcracker at the New Buffalo performing arts center, 12/7/2019.Performances were at 1:00 and 4:30. We attended the 1 o'clock performance. Many performers were specific to individual performances. The performance featured Tchaikovsky's score with Calin Radulescu choreographing. The presentation was tuned to the South Bend area with the setting being on the Studebaker mansion. They also have a curious habit of renaming Clara. This year she was named Marie, and was played by Hannah Gregor in the 1 o'clock performance. The nutcracker prince was Ben Zusi in both performancesThe travel portion was performed by guests from the different countries coming for a visit and performing.I was in the restroom when they evidently asked people to refrain from taking pictures, so I have some pictures and videos to post. Not speaking just of my own, but don't forget to "like" reviews and photos you like. This helps the reviewer.
