I can't say enough good things about Misha and ShimmyBOOM. I have been learning from and dancing with Misha since 2008, when I moved across the state to start college. At that time, I was looking for a way to continue the studies I had started in high school. And thanks to the presence of ShimmyBOOM not a single year has gone by that I haven't been immersed in the study and performance of dance. I say all that to emphasize the constant supportive presence that Misha provides through her dance classes, the wonderful community that exists here. Whether you are looking to drop in for a few classes here and there or are wanting longer-term support, this is the place for you!

There is nothing but positive things to say about Misha and ShimmyBOOM. I had not discovered dance as a passion until I started taking classes with Misha back in 2018.As a newer dancer I could not ask for a more supportive and fun group. Dancing with SimmyBOOM really livens my days and challenges me in different ways. It's a must try if you wish to do something positive for yourself and to connect with wonderful people.

I have been a student of Misha's since 2005, and I can attest to her professionalism and passion for the arts. Following her on the path of MEHNAT bellydance, I began in taking Egyptian Cabaret with her. Then, I joyfully followed her through various styles of MEHNAT Fusion over the years. Today, after years of dedicated study, I perform with her professional troupe and am a devotee of Global Caravan (GC) Bellydance! I am also now a certified teacher of GC, myself (though this is less for me to teach and more for me to deepen my skills and follow my love of the dance).Misha is a deeply knowledgeable instructress who gives her all into her dance and her students' growth. She is great to dance and have fun with - yet to the student who sincerely wishes to master the art - she is an excellent mentor who educates in the history of the dance whenever possible. She constantly grows her knowledge with ongoing courses and trainings. In my eyes - though there are many talented dancers in the area - she is the best. Misha always goes above and beyond, and few people know how much of herself she gives into remaining a current on the dance style and being the best instructor possible. PLUS she is an *exquisite* performer (and is how she caught me as a student, too!)If you want a quality instructor who will guide you into becoming the best dancer you can be with a beautiful group of people who share this passion - then you may have found your new dance family.
