Philadelphia Dance Theatre Reviews
PDT is an excellent classical ballet school. This is my child’s eleventh year dancing at PDT. For the youngest dancers (pre-ballet), the focus is age appropriate and centers joy through movement. At all levels, a sense of community and support is fostered. As students progress, they receive disciplined training, which benefits them holistically. Some students go on to become professional dancers. All students learn resilience and respect. Students have the opportunity to participate in amazing productions each year. My child considers PDT a second home.
Nov 24, 2024 · Kate Grant-DayPhiladelphia Dance Theatre is amazing. They really instill a love of dance and movement from a young age, but they do so much more! They have taught my dancers a what it means to be part of a community, to work hard and care for others. My kids love the excitement of being part their performances and have a better sense of what putting on a production really entails! They have made friends, have many teachers they love, have a plethora of role models in the older students. The boys program is especially amazing! My son is growing so much through it! They are the absolute best in the area!
Nov 09, 2024 · Kara SpaldingMy daughter joined the PDT community from a different dance school because she wanted to intensify her study of ballet. We’ve now been with the school for almost four years and I’ve seen wonderful technical growth in my child, while her love of dance continues to expand. The teachers are lovely and creative. As an institution, PDT stresses values of kindness and mentorship rather than competition. We are happy to be part of this community!
Nov 09, 2024 · Adrienne WinneyThis is our second year at PDT and our daughter is thriving! At age 6, she is vocalizing a love for dance and music. The teachers provide a supportive and fun environment. She is recalling ballet terms and technique easily. The older dancers truly make the younger dancers feel apart of a community. They’re mature and provide encouragement with genuine kindness. I recommend this school without reservations.
