Park Cities Studios Reviews
We pass by this studio all the time. What I don’t understand is why are the little girls dressed in dance suits, dancing in front of a clear window that is next to a traffic light? You can see clear as day inside of the studio, and there is no privacy. I would not send my kid there.
Feb 05, 2025 · MI just realized that my review was removed since it was many years ago, but truly we still talk about it at home since it was pretty traumatizing, and my daughter still remembers it.The owner of this studio if she still owns it from 13 years ago, was the rudest most disrespectful lady I’ve ever met in my life, I don’t know why someone would open up a ballet studio for children if she doesn’t like children. She yelled at my then two-year-old in front of everybody because she was fussy outside and as we came in to drop off her sister, and started to cradle her, the studio owner grabbed her by their arm, pulled her outside and told her to stop crying. A two-year-old. It made her more fussy and extremely scared. I’ve even talked to her Studio manager about it the day after it happened. No one has ever grabbed my kids, they were all Montessori trained and very kind, respectful kids.I hope things have changed there, but we never went back. We have been to other dance studios with my other daughters where we have been very happy throughout the years with zero problems.Expecting perfection only causes self-esteem problems in young kids. We must be compassionate and understanding and be kind and gentle to other beings or we won’t succeed long-term. Common sense, you would think.
Nov 18, 2024 · Connie HernandezIf you have younger kids, you will understand this but I agree with other posters who mentioned how Jacqueline Porter the owner has been known to treat younger kids when they are fussy. I have seen it and many moms with younger kids have lived it and seen it and it HAS ben talked about a lot. I know a TON of people in the area and it HAS been mentioned a lot throughout the years, unfortunately. A lot of girls develop low self esteems and eating disorders, etc., I have 3 daughters who danced and we ended up switching to martial arts and sports to empower them and THAT saved their lives. Dance is beautiful but it would be amazing if these studio owners would empower and be positive and help them grow inside and out, not just be perfect skinny dancers. The technique taught is beautiful, just please take care of your daughters psychologically, and empower, accept and love them no matter what.
Nov 18, 2024 · Colette Kennedy3 of my granddaughter's have had dance here. They have been here for 3 years. We are very pleased with each of there teacher's. They have learned so much, yes they started out as toddlers, mommy and me class. Our only problem has been with communication between the office and us. We don't always get the emails, so we learn a lot by word of mouth, then I will call the office for confirmation. The management doesn't appear to be well organized. But we still love the instructions that my grandchildren are receiving.
Nov 01, 2015 · Betty BeasonI have no idea what everyone's problem is! This is a world class ballet school and my daughter loves attending, the staff are kind and helpful other mother's I've spoken to have nothing but good words to say. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because it does need to Be a little tidier and the girls changing rooms are generally messy with dancers clothes, however it is not dirty just messy... There's a difference. I think the negative comments should be ignored and if you want to know about the school go there and check it out and make up your own mind.
