O'Donnell Academy of Irish Dance Reviews
Wonderful Irish dance school in NYC for both kids and adults! Erin and the team are truly amazing and so supportive of everyone’s individual dance journey.
Mar 16, 2025 · L. H.K. GODA provides a wonderful environment for kids to learn Irish dance with adults who care about them having a great experience. As a parent, I love the relaxed and fun vibes and the warm and inclusive environment Erin and the team create. I appreciate that this isn’t one of those intense dance schools where the teachers are focused on perfection. The team encourages and supports the kids to do their best and most of all, enjoy Irish music, dance and culture. My kid looks forward to going each week and we’ve met wonderful families through the school. Highly recommend.
Oct 14, 2024 · Kristen RuffIf I could give 10 stars I would. My son is 4 and every school nearby wouldn’t take him until he was 6 or 7 because “boys can’t focus”; but not Erin. Thank God for Erin. Erin is glad to take all dancers and music lovers. She didn’t care that my son is a boy and on the ASD. She saw his love for Irish music and decided to take him. He loves dancing and the other students. He talks about his friends from dance class at home and at school. He is so happy and we couldn’t be more grateful. We love that ODA’s values align with ours. There is no snobbery, body shaming, racial/ethinic/religious/gender identity shaming. All are welcome. Erin strives to have her school promote inclusivity. Your color, body, age, and neurology do not define who you are as a dancer. We love that she supports you as a competitor as well as if you’re a kid who just doesn’t want to go to a feis. I’m a therapist, and this is what we would call unconditional positive regard. There is no other teacher I’d trust with my kid. And when/if my knee and hip heel, I also hope take Erin’s classes. She has such a lovely community and there isn’t anywhere else I’d want my kid to grow. O’Donnell Academy is well worth the drive!
May 13, 2023 · Oona KeeleyThis school is absolutely wonderful. Erin is not only an amazing teacher and dancer, she is also really great with kids.
