Modega Reviews
Static is a GREAT teacher. He will push you out of your comfort zone while always maintaining a safe and supportive space. Static is excellent at challenging you, and his kindness shines through. He genuinely cares about each and every student, making everyone feel valued and included. One of the things I appreciate most is how he fosters an environment that encourages women to learn and thrive in breaking. His open classes are truly good for all levels and he does not want you to be left behind—he crafts moves suitable for beginners (like me lol), but he also ensures that advanced breakers have options too to challenge themselves. :DEvery class is not only about perfecting techniques but also about building confidence and community. :) I’m grateful for his dedication and the safe and welcoming environment he creates for us. If you’re looking to learn breaking, I highly recommend joining Static's classes on Monday evenings!
Feb 25, 2025 · Roxanne TanI'll start by saying that I'm not a dancer and can be really shy 🙈 I came to Modega as a total newbie to confront my performance anxiety. I was blown away how welcomed I felt by the community and in particular by one of the instructors, Static.I was convinced to try breaking even though I felt really intimidated by it, and Static was nothing but reassuring and offered really helpful guidance that helped me move beyond my comfort zone. Never in a million years would I have imagined myself attempting to freestyle in front of strangers and Static helped me build my confidence to do it. in the words of Jedi master Yoda, "do or do not. There is no try." Just go in for Static's class. You will be so glad you did!I liked Static's class so much I came back to try his house class, also as a newbie. I was disappointed to learn that he doesn't have a regular house class at Modega. I just happened to be lucky to catch the one time he was covering for another instructor. I really wish he had a permanent slot to teach house in the city!! Any studio will be so lucky to have him! Modega take note 😭
Mar 14, 2025 · MelodyIf you are looking to improve your confidence on the dance floor and really hone in on your personal style I highly recommend taking Unique’s class. He gives you the movement and freedom to make it your own. Slowing down the music to make sure we are understand the movement and retaining it really helps. It also helps that the choreo and music are always a vibe. 10/10 totally recommend!
