NY Dance Artistry - Hariyama Ballet is ideally located at 421 7th Ave #300, New York, NY 10001, placing it in an incredibly convenient and central part of Midtown Manhattan. This prime location, often described as "straight up from Penn Station," makes it exceptionally accessible for New Yorkers commuting from any borough, Long Island, New Jersey, or even beyond. Penn Station is a major transportation hub, serving Amtrak, Long Island Rail Road (LIRR), and NJ Transit commuter trains, as well as multiple subway lines including the A, C, E, 1, 2, and 3 trains. This means that regardless of where you are in the metropolitan area, reaching the studio is remarkably straightforward and efficient. Being in Midtown also means there are numerous bus routes operating nearby, offering even more options for travel. While street parking can be a challenge in this busy area of Manhattan, the unparalleled access to public transportation largely negates this concern for most New Yorkers. The vibrant energy of the surrounding Garment District and Herald Square area adds to the dynamic feel of the studio's neighborhood, making it a lively and inspiring place for artistic pursuits.

NY Dance Artistry - Hariyama Ballet Reviews
I went to this studio before I quit and recently came back. The teachers are all really helpful and awesome and the students are easy to make friends with! I don't really feel any sense of competition between the parents. The studio itself is a bit small but still keeps a professional feel. They have adult classes too for adults who want to get started. They also do all types of dance, nor just ballet. They speak both Japanese and English so just about anyone can go! Way better than the dance studio I went to before this one and I would recommend it to anyone looking to start dancing!
Jul 24, 2021 · YeetusHaitusMy daughter started dancing classical ballet at age 3. She started at BAE then transferred to SAB, which she wanted to quit at age 10 due to strictness before making any stage debut, and struggled with motivation. I had heard about NY Dance Artistry from friends, and that they all get to be on stage at least in some small way at annual big performances. So I begged my daughter to try one more year with Ms Hariyama before giving up on dance, so she can experience a stage performance. She tried the switch to NY Dance Artistry. I saw her happily dancing on stage in cute ballerina costumes finally, and she asked me how long Ms. Hariyama will be teaching ballet as she wants to continue dancing under her even when she becomes an adult. She started taking tap and contemporary dance classes here on top of classical ballet classes since. All teachers are wonderful, they are warm and strict in a balanced way. This school produces professional dancers and helps advanced students win competitions as well. My daughter has been happily dancing with them recreationally for years since then — and my other, younger daughter also joined at age 2. Our extended family has loved watching them both perform on stage through their cutest phases!
Mar 28, 2022 · J KWe love NYDA - Hariyama Ballet! Our daughter has been going to NYDA (Hariyama Ballet) for 5 years and is now a Junior level 4. We are truly grateful for this wonderful community! They are disciplined and serious about classical ballet training and all their dances (Contemporary, Tap, Jazz, K Pop), and yet the atmosphere is so warm and supportive. The director and teachers are talented, passionate and loving -- we see them really care and encourage the students and the smiles and growth in all the dancers are wonderful testimony to that. Our daughter has improved in many ways and loved the opportunities on performing on stages. The school also very supportive on participating on dance competitions (ie: YAGP) that encourages dancers to excel. Our daughter made so many friends and is always excited to go to dance at the studio. NYDA is truly a special place!
Mar 17, 2022 · P A LeeI think this dance school has great instructors. My daughter has been going there for over 4 years now and has shown smooth progress because they take the time to teach the basics as they believe the basics are important. They are also very responsive when I asked precise questions and provide detailed answers.
Mar 16, 2022 · KirikouThe "absolute beginner" class didn't really cater to newbies. I felt so out of place. Everyone there except me already knew what to do the moment they entered the room. Seems that I was the only real first timer there. In that case, I would of appreciate if the teacher asked if it were anyone's first time and offered help. However, this was not the case. I came to LEARN for the first time, yet was taught to perform like someone who had months of experience.
