Kelly's School of Dance & Aerial Reviews
I enrolled my four-year-old in a one-week summer dance camp at Kelly’s School of Dance and Aerial (KSDA) after hearing positive things from friends and seeing what appeared to be a diverse and welcoming environment online. Our goal was to explore dance before committing to a full-year program. While the staff was friendly during enrollment, I had some concerns once the program started. On the first day, I was surprised to learn that parents were not allowed to observe their child’s first class, which made me uncomfortable as it was my child’s first experience in a new setting. The room also felt more like a daycare setup than a focused dance class environment.Later in the week, I observed that part of the camp time was spent at a neighboring business operated by the same owners. This transition was not disclosed at the time of registration, and I was not informed or asked for consent for my child to be taken to a separate facility. Our expectation was a structured dance program within a single location. While my child reported enjoying the activities overall, the lack of transparency and the unexpected shift from a dance-focused experience to what felt more like general childcare services fell short of what was advertised.**Update:** After posting my initial review, the business reached out to discuss my concerns and requested that I revise the review. During our conversation, they explained that their dance camp is intentionally structured to teach dance through play, rather than in the format of a traditional class with structured technique or formal instruction. They also stated that an email was sent on the first day of camp notifying parents that children would be spending time at the adjacent play café as part of the program.I shared that while I appreciated the clarification, sending an email—especially one that could easily be missed or routed to a spam folder—is not a substitute for directly obtaining a parent's consent before taking a child to another location.I’m updating my rating to **three stars** to reflect that the business took the time to follow up and address my concerns. My daughter was particularly fond of the instructor Semira so we would consider taking one of her dance classes. Camp was not for us.

It’s been nice to continue my fitness through silks, lyra, trapeze, bungee and more! They even have date nights for couples.
