May 03, 2018 · John AzzinaroWe've taken lessons at other studios, and Hartford Ballroom is the best! Their bread & butter is group lessons. Michelle Evans is not only a great teacher; she is also fun and encouraging, and creates a relaxed, communal atmosphere. There are classes at all levels, but even her beginners soon look more graceful than their peers from other studios. And if you think you'll never be able to dance, let Michelle change your mind. Mar 06, 2014 · Daniel AlanHartford Ballroom has proved to be most suitable for my lifestyle. I appreciate the fact that lessons there are inexpensive.I have been in group classes where Michelle, with her innate wit and humor, enthusiastically encourages her students to apply new dance patters, using proper techniques. As a reinforcement to the group classes, I take private lessons from Lisa, whom I consider to have a most effective teaching style and encouraging attitude. The result is, I have grown as a dancer.I am fortunate to have found a home at Hartford Ballroom.
Mar 17, 2014 · Donovan DelgadoWe have been attending classes @ Hartford Ballroom for several years now. We're having so much fun & Michele has an amazing way of teaching. There's always something new to look forward to and when we attend dances we feel quite accomplished. It's amazing how many different dances we've learned and nicest of all we haven't had heavy handed pressure to sign long term contracts. The cost is very affordable - we pay only if we come to the lesson. One unexpected perk is the many new friends that we have made. We're hooked & look forward to many more fun evenings.
Mar 28, 2014 · Susan FranklinI have enjoyed activities at several ballrooms with excellent facilities and teachers and none matches or even comes close to Hartford Ballroom in promoting the joy of ballroom dancing. I have never encountered anyone quite like Michelle Evans, an internationally known dancer and teacher whose principle dedication is to help people enjoy the many benefits of dancing. Her teaching style is entirely positive, unpretentious, and fun. One might think that because of her own experience as an international champion dancer she might emphasize strict formal training in stressful, highly competitive situations, but that is not the case at Hartford Ballroom. She simply wishes everyone, from rank beginners to already accomplished dancers to simply enjoy themselves. In the process her students ironically become more and more confident, elegant and joyful in their dancing. We are extremely fortunate to have her in our area. I strongly recommend Hartford Ballroom for everyone at any level.Jim Wright, Willimantic, Ct.
