Dec 26, 2024 · Summer MitchellI can't say enough good things about Encore! My daughter has been attending since she was 4 years old (16 now), and the progress she's made is incredible. The teachers and the owner, Mrs. Lisa are incredibly supportive and encouraging. They create a positive and nurturing environment that makes every student feel special. Love the recitals and how they showcase the hard work of both the students and teachers. I'm so grateful for the dedication and passion the staff brings to every class. Highly recommend!"
Dec 28, 2024 · jennifer pritchardMy 5 year old niece goes to this studio. Her teacher is great and she loves her, but the dance recitals are a little too centered on the adult staff instead of the kids. The Christmas / winter recital this year had an “Annie” theme — which was not necessary. Dance recitals don’t need themes or a storyline. Instead of taking 90 minutes, it took 2 hours and 20 minutes, and had extended periods of time with teachers lip syncing to parts of Annie. I think most parents and family members just want to see what their kids have learned / see their kids shine. At dance. Not more lip syncing.I also think the older kids could do better if they had more time together to rehearse. I can tell they have skills and enjoy dancing, but it seems really thrown together, especially compared to how my friends’ dance recitals were when I was a similar age. For instance, they are often looking at each other to remember where they are in the routine and what the next steps are. I’m kind of guessing they just need more time to practice and refine.
Dec 26, 2024 · Kristen HoltzWe have been dancing with Encore Dance Studio for a few years now and absolutely love it. For the individual who commented shamefully on the recital performances doesn't understand that the girls and adults work hard to be on stage and perform and even for 2 shows back to back. The girls have rehearsals for months on out and are able to showcase what they learned on stage. Being on stage might not be easy for some but it's always enjoyable to see the confidence in the girls to perform such amazing routines. Having theatrics involved with ballet is what makes a recital performance and Encore does just that perfectly. All styles of Dance and levels are offered at Encore and every one is welcomed to participate. It's an amazing experience.
