Elite Feet Dance Studio Reviews
My daughter has been dancing at Elite Feet for 6 years now and we feel we could not have made a better choice for her. She joined the Dance Company when she was 6 years old. We have watched her love of dance grow over the years under the guidance of fantastic teachers, who genuinely care about each of their students, both on and off the stage. My daughter has such self confidence and grace because of the experiences she has had at EFDS. They do not focus on the winning or the trophies, but the lifelong character building and friendships that come from being part of a team. My daughter loves every minute she is there, which by her choice, is a lot! She has a great group of dance "sisters and brothers" who encourage and cheer each other on with every success or setback. Lifelong friends!
Mar 16, 2016 · Arynne DahlMy daughter has been a dancer at Elite Feet Dance Studio since 2009, studying everything from classical ballet to jazz, tap and lyrical—in regular classes, and also as part of the Elite Feet Dance Company. I really appreciate how Gay Lynn and her teachers focus on learning, technique AND having fun. They're thoughtful, professional, and interact wonderfully with the kids (from the little ones, all the way up to seniors in high school) and parents. The Company parents are involved and collaborative, including the dancers' dads who rally together to make sure stage props are in order for rehearsals, performances, and competitions. We've been so pleased with our experience over the years. At the end of the day, dancers and their parents should be enjoying the dance experience—that's what it's all about, right? I often refer friends and acquaintances to the studio when they have a son or daughter looking to get involved in dance. Two thumbs up!
Mar 05, 2016 · Liza HawkinsGreat studio! We wouldn't go anywhere else in Frederick. Director and instructors really care about students and have a real love of dance. My daughters have learned beautiful technique while having fun and making life-long friends. This is our 7th year at Elite Feet - a great spot in downtown Frederick.
Mar 04, 2016 · Margaret OsborneSo many better options in the area. Low quality instruction. Minimal parking, tiny waiting area. Teacher favoritism and bullying is common. Teachers make fun and speak badly of students constantly even out in the lobby. If you have a dancer looking to be serious about dance this is not the place, students miss a lot and class can't move forward because of lack of constant attendance. The skill level of the higher level classes is far below what other studios offer. Lots of trophies around the studio but the competition team bends the rules to compete in lower levels in order to appear as "winners". Teaching young dancers that winning a trophy is more important than following the rules and actually trying to improve.
Feb 03, 2016 · Michelle HutchisonWonderful studio! I am thankful for the artistic director and her teachers for all that they do! This studio gives my daughter what she's looking for: strong technique and artistry!Thank you for keeping dance classy!
