My daughter started dancing for this company at the age of 9. The owner is very pleasant, patient and knowledgeable about dance and all its forms. The salsa teacher- Ms. Melissa was a great instructor. She is a great dancer. She went out her way to make sure the girls were always included in different salsa congress through the tri-state. They perform and won at starbound.
Aug 06, 2019 · Rusmayris GuillermoI started dance 2 years ago in April self thought. I was driving by and I saw Dream Makers Performing Arts. me and my mother called the studio and asked when auditions will be held. The receptionist Tara which is a wonderful lady Said “you can audition on zoom hip-hop and come in for contemporary summer intensive. This was in June, these classes were for August. I came in August When was greeted by the owner and was greeted by the owner Lisa which is very wonderful teacher person. I did the summer intensive. Lisa spoke to my mom and said I was ready for company and put me in dances, for good prices! Then Lisa taught me a solo, and I competed at my first competition and got first place and Mr. Teen Starbound. after that I progressed so much at Dream makers performing arts. I learned so many new tricks and worked on my technique with a wonderful teachers known as Ms. Kirsten ad Ms. Nanette. at nationals I also got first place and teen Mr. Starbound. The dream makers performing arts company is like a family, even when competing against each other it doesn’t matter who wins as long as we support each other and give each other love. and thinks to the training at this studio I got into LaGuardia high school of the performing arts. again thank you so much Lisa for everything you have done for me. ~ Love Isaac
Mar 05, 2022 · Isaac TerryMy daughter came from another local studio when she started at Dream Makers 6 years ago. The amount of growth in just her first year blew me away! She became a member of the competition team the following year and we never looked back. I cannot deny that being on the team is a full time commitment and adds additional financial responsibility but it is well worth it. This Is all disclosed before officially committing to the team, so you know what you’re signing up for. You definitely get out of it what you put in. My daughter loves her teachers and the family feel at the studio, it truly is her second home. If you’re looking for a studio to train and develop your dancer in a supportive and warm environment, Dream makers is the best in the Bronx, hands down!!! So happy to be a part of the dance family there.
Mar 04, 2022 · Jackie salcedoI don’t even know where to begin.. I have been studying dance at Dream Makers since the of age 3. I started off as a mainstream performer there at Dream Makers and at the age of 6 transferred to company. It was one of the best decisions of my life. Everyone between the staff, faculty, teachers, and students are just overall great people and make every minute being there worth while. If you need a place to break free and discover yourself Dream Makers is where it’s at. I’ve gotten the chance to make amazing friends who I now consider family. I’ve also been able to see the growth in myself not only as a dancer but as a person. 💙None of this would’ve been possible without all the amazing teachers that are at the studio. To Nanette, Micheal, and especially Lisa thank you for dealing with me🤣 and pushing me toward my limits and helping me reach my full potential... I love you all so very much and can’t wait for the next 2 years to come before I graduate. 🥲I hope you come join this amazing family ..I’m sure you won’t be let down💙🤍🖤
Apr 19, 2022 · AlyssaI’ve been in this industry for over 20 years. Have danced in 4 different countries back-up danced for artist such as Missy Elliot on her tour in New Zealand, represented 2 countries different World championships and ended my dance career as an NBA dancer. I then had a daughter who developed the same if not a greater passion for dance and I knew I had to do everything to find right training. Not just the right training, but the best training. It took me almost a month of good research of all the studios in the Bronx. That is when I stumbled upon Dream Makers Performing Arts. While other studios I visited had nice staff…nice wasn’t what I was looking for. I needed quality training for my little one and that is exactly what she got and continues to get. She started out as mainstream dancer at the age of 5 and is now part of the company competition team. She’s now 11. She wouldn’t trade this studio for anything. As a company dancer : are the hours long (depending on what you commit to)?…yes. Is the training intense?…..yes(I’d expect nothing less). Is it an investment?…yes( you are always aware of what you sign up for) ….is there a call for extra rehearsal time?…..yes (this industry is ever changing …are you built for it?Dream Makers is grooming my daughter for the real world….nothing comes easy….you have to work at it and I’m grateful for my daughter to always being pushed out of her comfort zone. Nothing worth it ever comes easy! If you want quality training and a dance family…Dream Makers doors are wide open.
