It’s good learning different moves for club Dancing as well.
Jun 30, 2025 · Deborah HornsteinI just wrapped up 12 weeks of the Beginner Zero to Hero Salsa course with Dancer Univ. I had taken 1 free beginner Salsa class prior to taking the Zero to Hero course.Nicole and Jules were my instructors and they were incredible. From Week 1, I could feel their passion for dance, and appreciated their patience for us beginners. I learned a lot of styling, partner work, technique, and detailed breakdowns of different salsa patterns. After finishing the course, I feel comfortable enough to dance a full song as a Lead. Both instructors provided a great learning environment with their attentiveness, patience, being detail-oriented, and were fun to work with. They give a lot of really great tidbits and always provided opportunities for us to learn outside the classroom with socials all around Los Angeles. We also got access to a network of other dancers of all expedience levels and backgrounds through group chats so we can connect. Another bonus was the access to free weekly practices. Nicole is so down to earth and I’m very appreciative to her for often bringing in guest instructors and staying back to answer questions. I got to meet some incredible people. Overall, my experience was a 10/10 and I’m excited to continue with the next class of intermediate salsa!
Jun 25, 2025 · Nadir FouaniWould highly recommend giving it a try! My boyfriend and I had the BEST time taking our first ever salsa class with Nicole at The Godfrey. The pacing was perfect for us beginners, and the steps were very clearly demonstrated and repeated many times, so it was actually quite easy to keep up! And then it was perfect because after the class we got to continue practicing during the social dancing (which starts right after and is included in the cost of the class). During the social dancing, they had a great live band, and it was really fun to see more experienced dancers join as the night went on.Side note - don't let not having a partner stop you from going! There were a lot of single people there, and you switch partners quite often during the class, so it was actually a great way to meet new people too!
May 05, 2025 · Natalie FritzLook no further than Dancer University! Whether you’re dancing for the first time or a seasoned dancer, Nicole Gil and her team of instructors are best in class! The salsa and bachata classes are excellent. The vibe is professional, fun and inclusive. Dancer University fosters a great community for building dance skills and friendships. Highly recommend!
Jun 03, 2025 · Kimberly HartmanI have taken the beginners salsa class two times now and I absolutely love it! Every week we learn a new shine and a new dance move, with the program being 12 weeks we learn a LOT! The value of this program is so worth it- not only do you meet to learn but you befriend your class mates and go out toSocials together that the school puts on! We are talking 2-3 socials a week AND a dance class. This is a progressive program so practicing is an absolute must. 10/10 recommend and I plan on taking the intermediate salsa class next :D thank you to Nicole and Julez for being amazing teachers! - this program is very beginner friendly.
