Dance with Miss Alice Reviews
A Heartfelt Thank You to Miss Alice and Her Incredible TeamMy daughter, now 11 years old, has been taking weekly classes with Miss Alice and her amazing instructors since she was just four. When she first began, she was incredibly shy—so much so that she wouldn’t even go up on stage with the other children. In those early months, I found myself dancing alongside her, offering reassurance, and to my surprise, the teachers welcomed it with open arms.Looking back, I am beyond grateful for the community that Miss Alice has built, the friendships my daughter has made, and most of all, the confidence and love for dance that have blossomed within her. This program has not only taught her dance but has instilled in her a sense of camaraderie, resilience, and self-assurance that extends far beyond the studio. Each year, Miss Alice organizes an end-of-year performance, which used to take place at the Topanga Community Center, where the space would overflow with excited families and supportive friends. Seeing children as young as two years old all the way to teenagers performing with such joy and confidence in front of an audience is a true testament to the nurturing and encouraging environment Alice and her instructors create. When the pandemic struck, Alice didn’t miss a beat—quickly transitioning classes to Zoom and later holding them in a park. Her dedication to these children and her unwavering passion for dance never wavered, and for that, I have the utmost respect for her and her company, Dance with Miss Alice. For the past three years, my daughter has also had the incredible opportunity to participate in Miss Alice’s "Dance the Dream" classes, which prepare students to dance in the Disneyland parade. Words cannot fully express the pride and joy she feels at the end of that magical day—and as parents, we feel it just as deeply.I look forward to watching my daughter continue dancing with Miss Alice for many years to come. And when the day comes that she "ages out" of these classes, I know she will carry with her so much more than just dance skills—she will take with her:A lifelong love for dance and musicThe confidence to perform in front of large crowdsThe ability to speak, move, and express herself with graceAnd the camaraderie that comes from working together toward something beautifulFrom the bottom of my heart, thank you, Alice. You have given my daughter—and so many others—a gift that will last a lifetime.
Jan 30, 2025 · Stephanie MartinMy daughter, Juliette, has been doing dance with Miss Alice for years and we absolutely love it. Miss Alice has an approach to teaching dance and movement that really resonates with children in a care-free and free-spirited kind of way. The best way to describe the class is that it is REALLY fun and playful. It is great for both girls and boys. She spends a majority of the class making it about pure joy and dance as opposed to focusing on the same routine for a dance recital (I find those a little boring for young kids). We love her so much and so lucky to be part of her program.
Nov 27, 2018 · Ki Hyun ParkThe best kids dance classes in Los Angeles. The other kids are kind and friendly. The instructors knowledgeable and warm. Truly the greatest.
Oct 03, 2024 · Nicole GilMy daughter takes Miss Alice's combo class, and I couldn't be happier or more impressed with her development. She soars, leaps and jumps for joy in class and at home. Alice is nothing short of a magician. It is no small feat teaching little ones to relevé. It takes skill, patience, and a love for dance. All of which Alice somehow possesses even when adorable (however challenging) toddlers would rather pick their noses than jeté.
Mar 27, 2019 · Janelle ConnorOur daughter had a terrific birthday party with Miss Alice! Wonderful experience and wonderful people.
