May 17, 2025 · Evan NischanCrown City event venue hosts my favorite dance event here monthly. Their venue ideally has plenty of parking and, most importantly, a beautiful hall with a great dance floor and stage! To top it off, Danielle helped me find my lost phone. She went above and beyond to make sure I received my property back. I will return and highly recommend it to friends and family!
Jul 09, 2024 · Laura MarquezWhere should you go for nostalgic music, classy moves, and a self-esteem boost? Crown City Dance! This is a long-overdue review of a full-day dance workshop that took place in June. I have never danced before and truly struggle keeping rhythm, am super self-conscious, and never feel confident anywhere near a dance floor. My mom forced me to sign up and I reluctantly went. AND I HAD A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF FUN! There was not an even amount of participants, so I was the lucky one who got to dance with the owner, Danielle, the entire time because I didn't have a student partner. I was on top of the world. Danielle was so sweet, the moves felt so doable, easy and fun, and there was such a good mix of styles, from the Charleston to more tango-esque moves. We were challenged to build upon basic steps, switch partners a few times, and even improvise our own combos for a final dance-off. At one point, I was struggling with getting the footwork for a transition(?) step and Danielle reminded that we should never feel intimidated, and then further broke down the steps so I could manage it as part of the whole dance. I was even inspired to come back for their Open House, a free event that took place a few weeks later, where I got to meet some other long-terms dance students in my age category who were all preparing for a concert/show together. It was really delightful all around, genuine people, friendly atmosphere. I am considering some of the longer call series because I felt so comfortable here.
Oct 29, 2024 · Julia TrakhtenbergI recently had the pleasure of enjoying a salsa class, and it was so much fun! The team was super helpful and knowledgeable and made it very easy to learn the steps. If you’re looking for a dance studio that will make you feel at home, this is the place to be!
