Connecticut Ballet Center Reviews
I’m an adult who used to dance when I was younger but stopped for a little bit. I wanted to pick it up again and am so happy I found Connecticut Ballet Center! The classes with Christina Fagundes are amazing; challenging but supportive. Class sizes are not too big and the environment is very welcoming. I definitely recommend CBC!
Nov 12, 2024 · Heleen RaesMr. Raphael had me come in twice to audition for his company, nevertheless he still wasn't able to figure out that I wasnt exactly who he was looking for. After I left several dance jobs in California and moved to CT to dance with the CT ballet Co., Mr. Raphael decided to cancel my contract without any prior warnings or signs of concern.Mr. Raphael wasn't able to find any courage to speak with me face to face and explain the reason for his actions. After just 3 days of working with the company, he canceled my contract by email on a late Sunday night (i still remember, it was 10pm and also was my bday) without stating any specific or valid reasoning to why my contract is being terminated. I had to chase him down the following day and ask him what was the matter to what he responded the following:"You are a strong dancer but you stand out too much, and you will better off as a soloist somewhere else (which is exactly what I am doing now with the companies significantly of a higher level). After sharing this story with many other professional dancers from the NJ and NY areas it appeared to be a no surprise to many of them to hear that Mr. Raphael often acts unprofessionally, selfishly and inadequately , making illogical and abrupt decisions thus making professional and dedicated dancers like myself go through anormous amount of emotional struggles, stress, finanacial, and professional loses. Thanks for reading . Please take notice .
