Sep 25, 2019 · MOMS VS PresidentMy daughter had been taking pre-ballet in East Vancouver, at a studio closer to our home, where the monthly payment was $10 more and the classes were only 3/4 of the length. Needless to say, CDC has awesome pricing and the quality of instruction and atmosphere is far superior. My daughter is THRIVING and I’m noticing improvement in her technique every week since going here (and she’s only 6). I have done the “shopping around” and this is THE BEST BALLET SCHOOL IN VANCOUVER!
Sep 25, 2019 · Brittany LiciniI have studied at Columbia dance for 12 years. In the beginning the classes are simple and fun once you’re older the beginner class gives way to a much more demanding program to give you the tools to become a wonderful dancer. I am thankful for now that I have gotten older and have grown into the skills I was taught at a young age.
Apr 28, 2016 · Bryce pettit-esstelMy daughter (Senior & Senior Company Member of Columbia Dance) has taken classes with Columbia Dance since before she was able to wear pointe shoes. The Columbia Dance teachers & staff have always been approachable, understanding and helpful with the stages our daughter has grown through at the studio. The key, with any activity you intend on investing your money and childs time, is to be involved with the organization too. Obviously, in the beginning, young children are learning the basics. Every teacher has their unique methods. It's important to expose your child to a variety of teachers/classes. Our daughter attended several quite well known Vancouver dance schools. She learned something in every school, but Columbia Dance has been the base of her experience. Regardless of the activity your child is drawn to, be open, patient, involved and flexible. The Columbia Dance family is ever-evolving and offers a unique experience to the dedicated dancer and family. Our time has been rewarding and beneficial to us and our daughter over the years and has allowed her to hone her dance and life skills. The secure building with sprung dance floors in each well lit studio has been a safe haven and second home for her and her friends.
