Carolina Dance Capital Reviews
We've been at CDC for about 2 years and absolutely love it. My daughter has improved in her flexibility and dancing. But more than that she is gaining skills on independence, self advocacy, communication, and time management. Most importantly for us, her confidence in all aspects of her life has risen dramatically. She is/was a high anxiety child who panicked the first time parents came in to watch the class. She hated being asked questions and being center of attention and request we speak up for her. She absolutely loves performing now, and her teachers in school have commented on how much more she speaks and is willing to go up to the board to show what she's learning in school. She will have conversations with people and voice her own opinions more often because of the positive impact CDC has had on her life.Shes creating core memories and life long friendships at this dance studio. The teachers are kind and encouraging. They will critique dancers, but it always in a professional and respectful manner to help the dancers improve. And they are amazing at answering any question we have, no matter how ridiculous or numerous my questions may seem as someone who was never involved in dance prior to my daughter developing an interest. We can not recommend CDC enough.
Mar 04, 2025 · Nicole BarriosBest studio in Charlotte! I have known the director and the owners of our studio for over two decades and they are truly like family to me. They run an elite, respectable, and professional studio that allows dancers to develop a passion for the arts while also teaching them values of hard work, respect, commitment, friendship, teamwork, loyalty, and resilience. After dancing and teaching professionally in Los Angeles for 10 years I moved home to Charlotte and there was not a doubt in my mind that Carolina Dance Capital was not only the dance home where I wanted to teach, but also where I wanted my girls to take their first dance classes. I now get to see everything that goes on from the inside as a teacher AND from the outside as a parent and I can honestly say that I am forever grateful and proud to be a part of such an incredible dance community. I especially love that the director fiercely protects her dancers from any unnecessary drama, bullying, or inappropriate behavior. And the entire staff follows suit to create a safe, fun, and professional environment for our dancers to thrive. Our director loves our dancers like they are her own children and goes above and beyond to make sure they have everything they need to succeed. I’ve always respected her so much for treating everyone equally (instead of constantly making exceptions for a select few) and for dismissing dancers and parents from our programs who are demonstrating inappropriate behavior or chronically bringing the rest of the company down. (If you’re looking for where these families have gone you will find them writing untrue, and very unfair, negative reviews which will give you some insight into why they were dismissed in the first place.) If you care about your children, like I do as a mom myself, you will love knowing that your dancer will learn much more at CDC than top level dance technique and training. They will learn how to be a kind person and a devoted teammate, how to respect their teachers, parents, and friends, how to overcome challenges, and how to thrive in school and life outside of the studio well after they graduate. They will forever be unstoppable on and off the stage! I see the results of our training and support every year in our graduating seniors and it brings tears to my eyes to realize the impact that our director and studio is making in the lives of anyone who dances through the doors of CDC. I just feel blessed to be a part of it all!

Everyone is so supportive and encouraging. All the staff and faculty go absolutely beyond for us, care for us so much, and create beautiful routines. They also always make sure we have spectacular props and costumes. Ms. Nina does so much for us and always wants us to be the best that we can be. She supports us, loves us and always has our backs, if we are ever going through something she will always listen to us and help us with anything. She truly is like a second mom to me and I love her so much. I have improved so unbelievably much from dancing with this studio and I highly recommend it. There is so much love, support, positive energy, encouragement, friendship, and passion. I am so grateful to get to dance at this amazing studio, I love everyone and everything about it! Again, I highly recommend this incredible studio! ❤️
Jun 15, 2023 · tori careyI’ve been to other studios but this one has truly made me feel like home. All of the dancers are so sweet and support so much. Something that separates the studio from the others is the connection between us as a family. I could call Mrs Nina my second mom and all of my dance friends are so close to me like sisters. When I first came to the studio I could not even do a single turn, now I’m hitting grand pirouettes. During competitions everyone comes to support and that to me is winning myself. I would definitely think you should look into this studio if you are thinking about it. I’ve never felt so much love for dance.❤️❤️❤️❤️
Jun 15, 2023 · McKenna MinerThe owners & staff are amazing, and our experience has been incredible. The staff truly cares about each & every dancer, and the training is top notch. My daughter made the switch from soccer several years ago. When she said she wanted to take a ballet class, my only request was to find the closest studio to our house. Finding CDC was a gift! It has become a second home & we love our dance family and fearless leader Miss Nina.
