Break the Barriers Reviews
They have an indoor heated pool, year-round. Unfortunately, not all of the swim teachers are good. So for 10-11 classes you might throw away close to $600 if you don’t choose your instructor correctly.
Jan 31, 2025 · F ETraversing my way around with a guide cane, an adaptive technology device, four acute senses, and ballsy adventuring blunders -- Here I am frequenting Break the Barriers on a weekly basis.S T A F F:Cheerful, friendly, and very knowledgeable of the programs that are being offered at the BTB facility. The staff are very professional and also really down to earth too.S E R V I C E S:Aside from the archery program, I've yet to check out their other programs, but looking forward to checking out their aquatics program when the weather warms up a bit. Right now its about to be December...and its frigidly cold!E X P E R I E N C E:I recently joined the competitive Break the Barriers Archery Team. I used to shoot archery when I was able-bodied, yet I had to overcome some life-changing hurdles to relearn my beloved sport of archery after a freak-occupational accident that caused severe vision loss. Through archery coaching and adaptive archery services at Break the Barriers, I am able to enjoy this sport again. (WOOHOO!!!)Overall, I have enjoyed the camaraderie that I've received from both my challenged athlete and able-bodied teammates. Everyone from the BTB archery program, staff and participants have been very respectful, supportive, and sometimes hilarious. It's nice to feel like I'm a part of something where "disability" divides us apart.
Nov 29, 2022 · Jason JayI signed up hip hop class for my twins. There were around 6 kids in the class. 4 of them are abnormal, 1 handicapped, 1 has ADHD, 1 Down syndrome and the last one doesn’t talk. I wanted to withdraw them from the class because they teach so slow and my kids get bored. If you have normal children and want to learn, don’t take them here. They don’t give refund for dance classes. I’ll just stop bringing them to class.
Jun 21, 2024 · Lilian TranGreat place and I love their kindness! Also I love the fact that they don’t put you in a class and that they let you do an evaluation so they can see what you got!And their staff are amazing and so kind to the kids. Overall Break the Barriers is Exellent!
Apr 09, 2024 · MicahThis is simply the best place in the valley. The staff truly cares about the kids and the community they serve. The services they provide to the veterans are priceless and the absolute pinnacle of giving back to the community. I have seen veterans overcome significant obstacles and disabilities to become competitors and team members in their adaptive sports program. Thanks to everyone who gives to this organization and the employees who deeply care about helping people.
