Blue Dog Dance Reviews
My daughter has been dancing at Blue Dog Dance for the past 7.5 years (starting in Mommy and Me class!), and she absolutely loves and adores it. She loves that there are many different types of classes offered. She took classes in tap, acro, ballet, lyrical, jazz, and hip hop. She loves that there are many performing opportunities each season: 7 Fears of Julia Blue in the fall, Polar Express in the winter, and Wizard of Oz in the spring. If you join the Performance Group, you can also perform at local festivals, retirement homes, state fairs, and competitions. High school students put on an annual Gala to raise money for Seattle Children’s Hospital. And there is also an annual recital in June. You don’t have to do it all, but there are so many options! All the teachers we had through out the years had always been so kind and patient. It’s a very encouraging, positive learning environment.I want to give a special shout out to the teachers she has this year: Ms. Kyra, Ms. Kaela, Ms. Charlotte, Ms. Kalen, and Ms. Giana. And watching her perform has been so much fun, I joined Adult Tap dance class as well! My first teacher was Ms. Kaela, and now I have Ms. Barbara. They both made me fall in love with tap dancing, and even though my classes are at 8pm, I still come to class excited to learn and leave with a big smile. Thank you, Blue Dog Dance, for the most enjoyable dance experience! We love it there!
May 08, 2025 · Anastasia CormanLove love love Blue Dog!My children have been attending dance at Blue Dog forever, from elementary school to high school and then teaching . But this last year I’ve had the opportunity to join my daughter in an adult tap class. It was hard. But Kaela kept it fun, challenging and empowering. I am not a dancer and struggled so much but she worked her magic and Im pleased to say I’m looking forward to stepping on stage! Thanks Blue Dog for always keeping it real!

May 06, 2025 · Liliana JohnsonBlue Dog is such a great place for introducing your kids to dance. We love our current Hip Hop Teacher (Ms. Lauren) and really appreciate her patience and kindness when working with energetic kiddos. There is no pressure to get things "perfect" and she (and all the other teacher's we've had in the past) works through those tricky dance moves with kiddos when needed in a respectful and supportive way while still keeping it a fun and engaging environment!
