I’m forever grateful for the experience my daughter had while enrolled in New Studio of Dance from age 7 to 18. It kept her busy and me on the road. It was a very special experience for us both. Apr 25, 2024 · BeeJae JonesMy daughter has been dancing at ACDT for 7 years including summer camps and dance intensives. The owners, Susan and Giles are wonderful, creative, and caring. The non-competitive environment has allowed my daughter to blossom as a dancer/performer. The teachers are experienced, hard-working and encouraging. Every performance is brilliantly staged and choreographed; the hand-made costumes are like something out of a museum. We love ACDT/New Studio of Dance. They feel like family!
Jul 28, 2017 · Laura SheridanFrom the time my 38-year-old daughter started there when she was about 6 years old, I have never had anything but the most wonderful of experiences. The performances that the children get to act in (as opposed to recitals) gives them experiences that cannot be matched. There’s a great joy and excitement and the ability to learn that performing is not anything to be frightened of. And somehow Susan and Giles managed to make the youngest to the oldest students have a blast performing! I have nothing but praise for what they do. I’ve been an elementary teacher (so I can appreciate excellent handling of kids) for over 40 years and now bring other kids to see their performances and my students’, including my grandchildren. I hope someday they will get to perform. All I can say is there are the best!
May 10, 2019 · Susan ShillcockLove this dance studio! When my 11 year old daughter came to me and said she would like to begin taking beginner ballet lessons, this is the only studio that even bothered to call me back. Not only did they call me back but their positive encouragement of her following her dreams and ambitions (no matter how late a start) have been inspiring for both of us. They have worked hands on with her and every other student in her class get individualized attention.
Jan 20, 2016 · Christen RinaldiThis is a loving, family-owned studio where all four of my children have danced or performed. They accept all children, no matter their ability. My son has been helped a great deal here despite having mild cerebral palsy. Another son is brain injured and found a niche here in the fencing classes that co-owner Giles teaches. One of my daughters has a real passion for dance and has been dancing since she was three. The studio is very gentle with the students, making sure not to push them into pointe shoes before their feet are ready for it. My husband and I also really appreciate that they dress the children in very creative and modest costumes. Susan and Giles also run much sought-after summer camps that have long waiting lists. Under their careful guidance, my children have learned to be disciplined young people. They have prospered.
