The Dance Teacher Reviews
My daughter has been attending classes at The Dance Teacher for the past 2 years. I was originally looking for a small studio that would be kind to a child emerging from a tight pandemic bubble. It was one of our best leaps of faith, based only on a Google search.Mrs. Nancy teaches dance in a rational way to avoid injury and match the developmental phase of students. She has expectations of students, yet her instruction is kind and funny.Class sizes are small, often just 5 students. Because she runs the studio and teaches the classes, there is no receptionist so appointments are encouraged for new students to check out the studio and determine fit.I don’t live in the neighborhood and there are other options for dance studios. But I see my child’s socio-emotional needs supported and her skills celebrated by Mrs. Nancy. My child would’ve asked to stop lessons if she didn’t enjoy them, so for me, that’s the true testament of this studio that seems increasingly rare.
Aug 01, 2024 · Song SetoI love the Dance Teacher. I’ve been dancing here since I was a little kid in elementary school, and now I’m in my mid-30’s. Nancy and Dave are great people and became family. My mom always said that ballet was so good for me as a child because Nancy taught me to be self-disciplined. Now that I’m an adult; I really enjoy the adult ballet classes. Nancy fosters creativity, fun, and health. I definitely recommend.
Apr 08, 2023 · Christie FekanyWhen my daughter received dance lessons as a gift, I was new to all things dance and ballet, but it quickly became evident that Ms. Nancy is masterful in the arts, skillful in athletic instruction, and thoughtful of the families in her requirements and communications. If you're looking for someone to babysit your toddler in a tutu on the cheap, this is not the place for you. But if you're truly interested in being won over to the art of dance, regardless of age or skill level, you'll find quality instruction at The Dance Teacher.
Sep 21, 2022 · Carrie WhelpleyI started dancing with Nancy when I was 5 years-old. I am thirty-one now. Nancy has been instrumental in my development and growth as a person. Her education and dance background is old-school/traditional, which is a must in respects to the discipline of ballet. Although, the coolest aspect of Nancy as a teacher/mentor is her innate nature to always seek out opportunities for development. There is no limit for creative techniques or unique instruction. If you have a passion for movement, you will thrive in any of her classes.
Apr 22, 2023 · Natasha BakerThe best dance teacher in Orlando. My daughter started dance when she was very young. Miss Nancy made it fun and yet taught the children how to properly control their bodies to avoid injuries. Miss Nancy is very creative and I always enjoyed watching all the girls perform. Miss Nancy is the best!
