The Academy of Dance and Gymnastics Reviews
My daughter started AOD at age 3 and has loved dancing at this studio the past 3 years! Christmas and Spring recitals are impressive! The teachers definitely know what they are doing even with the little ones! Highly recommend!
Oct 05, 2021 · Jessica ShowalterFirst off I have a shy girl who would normally take some time to really open up. This is her first time doing gymnastics and on her first day she’s such a different out going young lady. I really appreciate the instructors, when I asked her how her class was she was so excited to show, and tell me everything. She went nonstop about how the instructors helped her and show her the technique and she didn’t feel left out or confused. The price is so reasonable as I am a single mom I love for my kids to be active and participate in things. So far this is a wonderful school I will definitely update we had till June so I know there will be hiccups but I’m more about the communication and the timing it takes resolving the issues that’s what I look for.
Sep 12, 2022 · Josiane CharlesI cannot say enough about the support staff and instructors - TOP NOTCH. My daughter danced for eight years at another studio and did not realize the potential she realized in two years of training under the instructors at The Academy of Dance. Bravo to these beautiful people! You have nurtured and developed a confident and beautiful dancer.
Oct 07, 2021 · Bobbi ForbesMy sister and I have both danced here for a long time, and we couldn’t imagine being anywhere else. This studio is the best environment for dancers of all skill levels! The teachers were so kind and patient back when I was first starting as a beginner, and I always look forward to coming to dance every day. I have made so many friendships at this studio, and the teachers and staff always go the extra mile to make sure their students are gaining the best possible learning experience from every class.
Oct 05, 2021 · Taleen TimaniA studio very image-focused about being glamorous, but treats their staff like garbage. I saw staff filter in and out constantly due to extremely poor communication, extremely low hourly wages (especially given for how big the studio is), and getting treated extremely unfairly - your child will either be taught by a favorite staff member who is there forever or an equally talented and intelligent teacher who gets treated poorly so gets out while they can. Don't bother requesting a specific teacher when you sign up for classes - teachers are called the DAY OF classes to be told what they're teaching. I'm not kidding. Non-favorite staff members are easily replaceable, and they make that clear from the start. Don't waste your time and money, there are plenty of other studios in the area that focus on the child having fun while learning about dance, and not trying to get every student to be a competitive dancer at the age of 4, twerking on stage in costumes that have less coverage than underwear with the other 120 company members. I have grown as a teacher more in the past year and make about a $10 hourly difference than I did with five years with them. Do not support this studio - ask the teachers there what they get paid for the MANDATORY 3-day, roughly 50 hour recital weekends (spoiler: its $0)
