★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We have been at Studio Dance since my daughter was 3 yrs old (9 years this year). She has grown so much in dance and every year finds a new found love for dance. The teachers are awesome and go the extra mile to help any way they can. Studio Dance of Johnson City is more than just a dance studio to us, it's family.
May 12, 2023 · Heather TesterStudio Dance is our home away from home!! My daughter has been dancing here since she was 4 (5 years!) and she loves every minute of it. She has made some of the best friends and has learned and grown so much. The instructors are amazing and Ms. Carsen’s passion for sharing her love of dance is always at the forefront.
May 12, 2023 · Susan FainWe could not be more thankful for the confidence Mrs. Carsen has brought out of our daughter! Her kindness, patience and joy that she radiates is exactly the type of woman that I want my daughter to continue to learn from! The new studio is beautiful and we are so excited for another year of dance!
Jul 27, 2023 · Kristin TrivettThe only reason this place got any stars is because Mrs. JoAnn was our teacher (and she's amazing!)It's so unfortunate that the new owner (Mrs. Carsen) is ruining the legacy created by JoAnn.There has been NO communication. Nothing was ever said about an email list and no memos were ever sent home.*When entering the studio, the staff acts as though your presence is an inconvenience. They can't be bothered to stop their conversation long enough to greet the dancer or say "I'm glad you're here!" I spent an unreasonable amount of time each month waiting for someone to appear at the desk and stop talking long enough to accept my payment.*I never received the email link for tickets and a facebook request for the link took hours to arrive.*Dress rehearsal was cancelled at the venue, meaning that my child, who had never danced on stage before, didn't know what to expect and wasn't given the opportunity to practice where she would be dancing.*No one notified parents who would be sitting backstage with our children. It would be nice to know who to check your child in with instead of dropping them off blindly.*End of year parties operated on a different schedule, and the email was not sent to ALL parents. My daughter missed her end of year party because nothing at all was said to the parents the week before about a schedule change. I was there to drop my daughter off and I was there to pick her up. Someone could have said "Our party next week is on Monday, instead of Thursday" but that didn't happen.Communication is paramount when working with children and families. We will not be returning to this jumble of a studio and I hope that you are able to improve things for other families.
May 11, 2023 · Emily BlevinsStudio Dance is the best of the best in training dancers! There is so much talent, from the Staff all the way down to the youngest of dancers. Many dancers go on to careers in dance, after their training at SDJC!
