Shostakovich School of Music, Art & Dance Reviews
My 7 year old son has been taking piano lessons at Shostakovich School of Music, Art & Dance for a year and three months and my 5 year old daughter also started to learn a half a year ago. Dr. Irina Schipacheva did a great job for both of our kids. She is very patient and put priority for accuracy as well as artistic expressions, so they are learning with a very good technique. She also provides very good knowledge as well as interests in famous composers, so our kids are very much interested in listening classical music. I really like the teacher’s selection of music pieces and I wish I could have piano lessons from her when I was a child. I also would like to mention that the music school itself is a really nice space in Brooklyn and all the staff is very helpful and professional.

Jun 14, 2016 · Lily OwensAbout a year ago I took my daughter to Shostakovich School of Music, Art & Dance for piano lessons and was amazed to see that a music school of this quality was in Brooklyn, NY. The Founder and Executive Director -Diana Trost is dedicated to her work and sophisticated lady and their teachers went to the Conservatory or to the best schools in Europe, not just some local college. I am so happy to see my daughter success in playing piano and she is also happy to be a part of this music school. We haven't tried the art lessons yet but that will be next. Highly recommended.
May 20, 2016 · Julian PrestonWe love this place. Our 2-year old son has been going to Shostakovich daycare for 2 months now. He needed a bit of time to adjust. Teachers were very patient and caring. They made sure that he got used to a new place as quick as possible. Now, he always asks when he is going to go to a daycare. Every day we see a progress in his development, singing, telling stories, dancing, etc.
