Selah Academy for the Arts Reviews
I have 6 kids in the various drama age groups offered at Selah Arts. I can honestly say it has been life changing for them. The director Michelle Murray is gifted in many ways and is able to encourage even the most shy students and show them that they all have talents that can be brought together like a family. Students not only learn acting, singing and dancing but they also make their own sets and costumes and run lights and sound. It’s an amazing experience. These productions are student run so when you look at the sound booth, you’ll see kids working and when you show up for set day you’ll see kids learning how to use power tools to build two-story sets. When you come to sewing day, you’ll see kids learning how to sew for the first time and then next thing you know they are whipping out their own costumes. Every student is valued at Selah. They learn that everybody is really good at something and they are all needed. Not to mention these plays turn out to be so amazing! Prepare to be impressed!
