Scootin' Boots Dance Hall Reviews
Overall it was fun! Lots of people, great instructor, and good air circulation! In fact if you generally get cold, bring some to put if you get cold and take off if you warm up. Now, i do think there are some improvements that can be done to elevate this as dance class. When there are a lot of people it is very difficult to see the instructions being given. Almost eceryime in the back were lost if it was there first time. The owner should put up a screen and a camera on the instructor so you can see the feet in the back. And another thing, have some hat hooks around the place. It is a country dance place if I want to hang my hat, I should be able to. This is just my two cents.
Apr 21, 2025 · Steven W. Schultz Jr.This place is awesome! Super fun everyone is really kind. One suggestion though is I would like to see a more masculine teacher there sometime that can better lead and give direction more confidently. I think the young men there would benefit from it which would in turn be good for the ladies too!Update in response:Your female instructors are awesome I love them, they’re great leaders and give great direction! I guess for your male instructors I haven’t gotten a very confident one yet over the years so that’s what I’m referring to. At least when it comes to the ones that teach country swing specifically.
May 13, 2025 · Antonio RomanI visited for a country line dancing class. I had a great time! It was my first time so I'm unsure how many dance hall there are. In the one that I was in, there were mirrors throughout. The dance instructor had a microphone and it was ease to hear and see her.The building can use a remodel, but it serves the purpose. 😊There is plenty of parking. Accessible parking and entrance.
May 27, 2025 · O'ZandraThis place is like a really big dance studio. You can bring your own water bottle in. It is not a club. It is not a bar.Came for beginner line dancing and the teacher didn't seem to know the dances and kept messing up. It was like she was learning the dances as she was teaching them. She was also teaching dances that had multiple tags and restarts .. Which is not beginner friendly to me.I thought the open floor portion would be more like what you'd experience in a line dancing club, but the instructor talked through each dance and played things you wouldn't normally hear socially at line dancing clubs.
Feb 12, 2025 · Diane BWE WENT HERE FOR MY BIRTHDAY! My group and I had a fabulous time and a lot of the dances were easy to follow. It’s an 18+ venue so no bar but it’s still pretty packed. One down side is it seemed like most people came with dates so it wasn’t as open to dancing with new people. I recommend doing the lessons before if you’re new to swing/line dancing!
