San Ramon Valley Dance Academy Reviews
some of these teachers are great but others should definitely be fired. i’m not gonna say names but a male ballet teacher ruined my passion for dance. he would make me dread going to class and thinks replying to something he says is back talking. example: tech rehearsal (a rehearsal for only your dress and shoes on) i didn’t have my hair in a bun, he asked me why and i replied that it was only costume. no big deal. after finishing my dance i walked back to the dressing room where he was applauding us. as i was walking away he said to have my hair up and then mocked me and told another teacher that was the “attitude” i gave him. absurd. i will not be returning.
Jun 06, 2024 · tara sudhiI had been dancing there for almost 3 years and it had been the most emotionally abusing 3 years. I had lost my love for dance and I didn’t even know why was taking it at that point. My instructor not only yelled at us but would put kids on the spot and tell them they shouldn’t be dancing. I really thought I would enjoy my time there but I didn’t. I quit dance there and I’m so much happier, I’ve joined another dance academy and I’m happy to say I’ve found my love for dance again. I’ve learned more in a month then I learned in a year at srvda
Feb 10, 2020 · Asita SinghI have never written a review of this type for any business. So it's unfortunate that this is my first. We have taken our daughters to this school for over 8 years, since about the time they could walk. While we weren't always pleased at the level of instructions in every instance, but we thought this was a sufficient school for their needs. This weekend, an employee of the school - the receptionist - escalated a relatively minor issue to something that is unforgivable. This employee, most likely due to some past demons of her own overstepped her bounds of authority, respect, and just good common sense. Now, all employees make mistakes, and a business shouldn't be judged by the actions of one employee. However, this employee subsequently lied about what transpired to her managers. Now, instead of the manager calling to inquire about the other side of the story, this manager Jan Hamill didn't want to hear the truth of what happened and immediately accused a long time paying customer of impropriety. The manager showed poor judgement, lack of business etiquette, and a general rudeness best reserved for people that actually did something wrong. As a manager of many employees, while I would defend my employees I would also always hear the side of the person who is wronged. We had signed up for classes and still had another class but will be asking for all our money back and will be withdrawing our girls from this school. We urge people to visit other schools in the area, where the owners/managers have a keener sense of proper customer service and where the owners/managers hire proper instructors at every dance skill.Anonymously signed, but very disturbed by the events that transpired by this short sighted owner/manager!
Aug 07, 2012 · John DancecitizenThis is the third dance studio I've attended in the SF Bay Area, and it is excellent. The facility and the teachers are of an exceedingly high caliber - a great place to dance!
Nov 24, 2015 · Alaina AbbottOne of the best dance academys in the area. Thoughtful teachers and staff. Focused and dedicated training in various forms of western dance styles.
