We watched the Nutcracker at the war memorial on 12/27. This was an interesting and entertaining adaptation of the Nutcracker. Having watched another version in the West End several years ago, we were disappointed with aspects of the performance. Given this is arguably one of the top performing groups in North America, some of the dancers attention to details and movement was not to the standard we would have expected. For example, when lining up during key dances the performers were not in sync nor did they line up correctly. Overall a great performance, but for a ballet you expect the best. - J T
