4.0
We wholeheartedly recommend Ruhala Holistic Arts Center. Our journey with this performing arts haven has been nothing short of transformative. Our daughter's passion for the performing arts began with dance, but after trying various studios, she was left frustrated and bored. RHAC, under the expert guidance of Mark Ruhala, changed everything. Unlike other studios, Mark saw her potential and welcomed her into a community that felt like family. She performed with the older students and she finally felt a sense of belonging as she was right where she needed to be and it showed with an enormous smiling face after each lesson. At Ruhala, it's not just about dance; it's about fostering creativity, confidence, and a love for the arts. The environment is a calming oasis, with open doors and beautiful plants, reflecting their belief in the healing power of nature. The owners are approachable and excellent communicators, creating an atmosphere where everyone feels heard. There wasn't any sense of intimidation or fear there, unlike our past experiences at other studios. Maintaining our young daughter's self-esteem and self-confidence is very important to us, which is why we opted out of competitive dance companies. Ruhala's flexible scheduling allows our children to also play sports and be involved with other activities as well. We found that she got way more value out of one Fall class compared to a full 9-10 month class at other studios. Our daughter's journey over the last 5 years at Ruhala extended beyond dance; she discovered singing and acting, and her confidence improved after Brain Gym sessions with Celina. Ruhala focuses on the essence of the performing arts, not elaborate costumes or competitions. It's a space where children/adults can freely express themselves and cultivate mindfulness and awareness. Our youngest son joined this year and surprised us with his newfound talents. Our children have not only learned valuable artistic skills but also life skills like centering, grounding, and mindfulness. Ruhala Holistic Arts Center is more than a studio; it's a haven for self-expression, creativity, and positive growth. We can't express our gratitude enough for the incredible experiences our family has had here. Thank you Mark, Celina, and Thomas!! - Jillian
