The Ridgefield School of Dance is without a doubt a very special 'home away from home' for my two daughters - a cherished second family for sure!!Since the very first visit to the dance studio, we knew immediately that it was the perfect choice for us! Alison was warm and welcoming, which was especially important since we had just moved to Ridgefield, CT from Mason, OH.The teachers are absolutely phenomenal!!! THE BEST OF THE BEST!!! All current or former professional dancers themselves, they truly understand what proper training is, and how to nurture young dancers. They are all incredibly warm and genuine, and treat all of their students with respect and compassion. The ballet curriculum is second to none! It is astounding how much my daughters have progressed and achieved since joining RSD in 2016!!A very special highlight each year is the annual Nutcracker Performance in December, and the Spring Performance in June! Miss Jess's creativity is endless when it comes to bringing a story to life....from Carnival of the Animals, to Madeline, and coming soon....Alice In Wonderland!! It's magic onstage!!We have treasured each and every experience, every class, every teacher, every close friend. Mar 27, 2019 · Nicole CherryMy 10 year old daughter has been dancing at The Ridgefield School of Dance in Ridgefield, CT since she was 3.5 years old. When we moved to Ridgefield in 2018, I looked for a studio that offered “fun” ballet for the little ones, but also had the professional studio and teachers where my daughter could learn and grow in dance for many years to come. We came across RSOD, and I knew it was just what we wanted. My daughter has grown leaps and bounds (pun intended 😊) throughout the last 6.5 years. Alison and all of the teachers at the studio are very kind, knowledgeable and have taught my daughter the principles, foundations and the art of ballet, tap, jazz and lyrical. She enjoys going to dance. She is there almost every day of the week, and she has made numerous friends! They help in continuing to build my daughter’s love and passion of dance. Not only has RSOD taught her the above mentioned, it has given her poise, grace and confidence in her everyday life! We are so grateful and thankful for The Ridgefield School of Dance.-Rebecca
Dec 06, 2024 · Rebecca AvalloneThe Ridgefield School of Dance has had an incredible impact on my daughter's growth as a dancer. The personalized instruction and sense of community make it such a special place for her.
Feb 24, 2025 · Michelle FitzpatrickMy daughter loves it here. She has blossomed into a beautiful dancer with the help of her talented teachers. She has made lasting friendships that foster the love of dance as a pure art form to foster her creativity.
Jan 17, 2025 · Erica ShillingfordThe Ridgefield School of Dance has given me my second family! Having danced at the studio from age 4 until high school graduation, it awarded me countless opportunities and I am honored to have watched it grow into the professional studio it is today. Along with learning different techniques and allowing me to refine my ballet, RSD gave me my confidence, professionalism, and life long friends. The facilities are beautiful, performances top-notch, and teachers unparalleled. I try to come back from college, (where I am receiving my BFA in dance with a concentration in ballet,) whenever I can to give back to the studio that has given me so much. I cannot recommend RSD enough for anyone, regardless of age or level.
