Dec 17, 2024 · C.J.Booked and paid for a class thru Santa Fe college. I was told it's an additional $6 cash for them when I showed up. Very sus!
Feb 04, 2025 · L Greene (SkitSkatKat87)Rena’s is a beautiful, small dance venue whose owner has decided not to rent to private parties. The owner is very difficult to deal with. He will talk and talk and never settle anything. Seven years ago I inquired about having a birthday party there. After several very long conversations the man would not commit to a date to rent it. Flash forward to 2018 ish. He rented the space to a dance group and we met weekly very much enjoying the space. Then pandemic ended that. Now there is one dance group holding classes there. I inquired about having ONE dance for a holiday party with the same group that used to hold classes before the pandemic, so a known group of well behaved people, and the owner has decided he won’t rent. Rhetorically I ask, why in the world did he create this dance hall if he won’t rent it out? I hope the place just rots away. Gainesville is not a city to live in if you really want to dance. Every dance group has to ferret out somewhere to dance and it’s a game of hide and seek. A very expensive game at that. And even when you’re willing to pay, the owner of Rena’s doesn’t want to rent it out. Mind boggling and maddening.
Sep 29, 2023 · Cee EllMy experience here was the West Coast Swing, introduction to. What a friendly and open place. Every one was just great there and if you are looking to put yourself out there to learn dancing, this place makes it easy. I understand they have other dances there. Also plenty of time to open up to a free for all and apply what was given at the start. 5 stars!
