Pulse Performing Arts Studio Reviews
My daughter has been attending The Pulse since she was 3 years old and it has become our home away from home. She is there with dancers and teachers who have become family. What I find most special is how the older dancers help to mentor the younger dancers. It allows them to develop tremendous leadership qualities and the younger dancers have some incredible role models.
May 10, 2023 · Jacki SiskindMy daughter has been attending for a few years now and we've loved it. They're very organized, the teachers are great (and patient) and the recitals are truly heartwarming. My daughter has always loved it. Highly recommended!
May 22, 2023 · John PenaIf you are looking for a studio that really focuses on the love of dance,as well as integrating the technical training dancers need, then this is it! The Pulse offers high level instruction in all the major disciplines, while also offering more recreational dancers a place to excel. The teachers have all been very positive and welcoming, without a lot of the "tracking" or favoritism that some studios seem to lean toward. Every child is a dancer here, whether they are on the competition teams or not.And as for the choreography, owner Jennifer Dell has some of THE most unique and inspiring dance pieces I've seen in a long time! Not your standard Chattanooga Choo Choo tap, but edgy and modern stuff the kids love - but still age appropriate, too. The lyrical is beautiful and pushes dancers to really express themselves through connecting emotionally. You can tell she has a passion for dance and wants to share that with her students! Highly recommend.

May 01, 2024 · Javon Amountboy J.B. BrewsterYou really need to do your homework before getting involved in this studio. For many, the fact that the kids in the studio are really sweet and the instruction is "okay" make it a good, convenient option. That's generally how we have felt about it.But the level of favoritism and and generally unfair behavior exhibited by the owner/artistic director on behalf of her own children and others in her "posse" is really annoying. It is really aggravating watching the favoritism and watching all the parents (including me!) simply stand by and "take it" out of fear of the artistic director/owner taking out her frustrations on YOUR child!I plan on moving my daughter to another studio soon. There are a number of parents I am working with to research other options.
