Customer reviews for the Patel Conservatory, while varied, offer valuable insights into the experiences of local families. One comprehensive review highlights a largely positive experience: "The Patel Conservatory keeps getting better every year. Our child has attended classes from every program over the past 7 years. We love the teachers (especially dance), the administration and the guards that keep them safe. They continue to add to and enhance their program offerings, making this the best place in town for children to thoroughly explore and grow their artistic selves." This speaks to consistent quality, program diversity, and a supportive environment, especially for long-term students and their families.
Conversely, a highly negative review expressed severe dissatisfaction with a "younger singers program" instructor and the administration's response. This parent described a "bad-horrendous experience" for their 7-year-old, citing a teacher's suggestion to withdraw the child after "one bad day" in barely three months, and a perceived lack of leadership from the director. This feedback, while a strong outlier compared to general positive sentiments often associated with the Straz Center's educational arm, underscores the importance of individual teacher-student dynamics and administrative support in arts education.
Conclusion: Why Patel Conservatory is Suitable for Locals
For residents of Florida, particularly within the Tampa Bay area, the Patel Conservatory offers an unparalleled opportunity for performing arts education. Its central location within the Straz Center for the Performing Arts ensures easy access and connects students to a major cultural institution. The Conservatory's commitment to high-quality, accredited training across dance, music, and theater, catering to all ages from young children to adults and from recreational learners to pre-professionals, makes it a highly suitable choice for diverse needs. With state-of-the-art facilities, a wide array of programs, and numerous performance opportunities, students can truly flourish. While individual experiences with specific instructors may vary, the overall positive feedback from many long-term families points to a consistently enriching and safe environment where children and adults can thoroughly explore and develop their artistic selves. For Floridians seeking comprehensive and inspirational performing arts training, the Patel Conservatory stands as a premier local destination.

Patel Conservatory Reviews
Not good!! No real professors child oriented in music. Bad methodology. My son who is 7 went for first time to the younger singers program with Mr. Kavan, and he has the nerves to sent me an email suggesting to withdraw my child for the class for the only reason of having a bad day ONE time, in barely 3 months of classes. What a shame of “teacher”, Mrs. Santana suppose director or manager of this “school” support his action. What a shame. Not a leader. Take your child to others music school, because this one sucks!!!! And will leave you and your child with a bad-horrendous experience in music learning aspects and environment. Not to mention that my child was happy to go to music classes, loves music, has been terrific child in school, good students in grades and behavior in school. But with my mistake to putting him in this mediocre music school with a fatal teacher’.

Jul 02, 2025 · Jo HannaPatel Conservatory is an Amazing school for the performing arts. My daughter loves it here. The teachers, stafr and students are great and an exemplary shout out to the Security Team. They are very tight and truly ensure our childrens' safety which is of utmost importance to me. Thank you Very Much❣ We will look forward to enrolling in more classes in the future‼💯
Feb 23, 2020 · Ingrid KoehlerIf you have a child interested in ballet, go to Patel and Next Generation Ballet. The level of instruction, professionalism of the staff and instructors, and the facility itself with correctly sprung floors, well ventilated rooms and a world class stage are worth the traffic and commute from anywhere in the Tampa Bay Area, including Pinellas and Pasco counties. Even though local small studios advertise and use social media to entice ballet students to learn from them, they are not any where close to the level of instruction provided by Mr Neal, NGB and Patel. A well cared for and well instructed student makes for a happy dancer for life and a dancer who isn’t treated with that care may not dance for life. Wishing your ballet student a safe and happy experience
